Can you accept this?God and devil cannot exist without the other. We,everybody have both the qualities of the god and the devil. To which we constantly feed, that character gets nourished and come out. So,beware of the devil inside always and nourish the godliness qualities to be a better human. Then this world will be a heaven by itself. What do you say?

I'm not well-versed when it comes to this. All I know is that goodness co-exists with evil. All of us are made in the image and likeness of God therefore we were created to be good. But I guess God allowed evil to thrive inorder for us to see goodness. For how can we see beauty without knowing the opposite? How do we know what's right if we don't know what isn't right?
I don't believe there's an evil inside us that will just grow if we allow it. I picture it out more as, evil is outside always trying to break or find a way in. We allow it to go in by sinning.

Adam and Eve certainly didn't have them prior to the temptation episode...hehe. So I believe human beings are innately good. But I guess too much of being human now, your theory holds true that there may be evil inside us already.
Just thinking.....

God and the Devil are both concepts developed by the mind. There is a ground, and goal, to all of reality and that could be called God. But, in naming God and assigning qualities you have reduced the scope of God to a concept which can be held, and anything with qualities implies the existence of the opposite of that set of concepts; hence the Devil.
So, I would say yes, as long as you hold God as a distinct individual/thing/concept then you must live also with the individual/thing/concept of the Devil. Not much choice there.

Hi srganesh, You make a very good point however, all of this only exists here and because of the way we think. I agree that while here and with our limited understanding, we should always choose the good and work to make this world a better place for everyone. Religion should be all about this life and this world, it is really what all the great teachers tried to tell us. We need to eliminate poverty and homeless and end war. I think that would be a good start, don't you? Blessings.

God is not a duality. Man is the duality. God needs nothing to exist as God created all things. What we call Evil is not evil but correction. A singularity can not be a duality.

God and the Devil are not the same person at all. Just like some police do good and a few become criminals but tey are not the same person.
What about each one of us? Do we want to be like God? Or do we want to be like the Devil?
We can fight our sinful tendencies!

No God, no Devil, no good, no evil only Yin and Yang bound together in the eternal circle of balance.

Yin and yang are complementary opposites within a greater whole. Everything has both yin and yang aspects, which constantly interact, never existing in absolute stasis.

Have ever heard of the saying the Devil is H-d on a bad day? i believe that G-d and the Devil are twins. they have the same amount of power but they can't destroy each other and we people are in the middle of this huge fight. For me, I think it is been called a draw. I am too nice for hell and too naturally too evil for heaven.

you are correct in your assumption! All things are relevant! The astronauts discovered that Up and Down were one and the same. In and out, back and forth, hot and cold, right and wrong, are all relevant. And by the same token Love and Hate, and God and the Devil. In other words God and the Devil do not exist as separate entities, if God and the Devil exist, its as One. If God is Omnipotent then he must include the devil as well.

you cant have one without the other
if you have good you must have evil
if you have day you must have night
there must be a balance within the cosmos
we as humans have both good and evil within us
most of us choose to embrace the good
but for every 3 of us that do there is one person that chooses to embrace evil
unpleasant as evil may be it is necessary in order to maintain balance

That is what the Holy Bible tells us. God created the Universe and everything in it. Then one of his Creations, Satan. Became jealous of Gods power, and so Lied to Eve, to get her to deceive Adam which created what we most commonly refer to as "original sin" That is why we are all sinners, we are all held accountable for the folly of Adam and Eve. Kind of unfair if you ask me.

You probably have a point there - God and the devil define each other. If you were to read the bible book Job, and pay close attention to the way interactions between God and the devil are represented, it would almost seem as if there is a type of working relationship between God and the devil. According to some, the older concept of the devil suggests a job title, rather than a personality anyway.
