I want to know if there are other sites out there like fotalia. I joined with them a few months back and it seems like every picture I submitted was rejected. Does anyone else know of any sites that will pay you for sumbitting photos based on their usage or views?

If any site is good then they check or analyze photo properly before taking this site into consideration. It is also one of way of identifying good site.

I have no doubt that it is a legitimate site - none of my photos ever get accepted! And I don't mean to toot my own horn, but I have submitted some GREAT photographs.

There's a difference between a great artistic photograph and a great stock photograph. Fotalia is a stock website. They are looking for a very specific type of image. So even if you have a fantastic artistic image, there's a good chance it will get rejected because it's not appropriate for stock. In order to get your images accepted from stock agencies like Fotalia, you have to learn what types of stock images they want!

I am on Fotalia, as well as many other similar microstock websites. Fotalia is one of my top earning sites, but there are a lot of other sites I earn significantly more on. I have a list of similar websites listed in my blog http://funonlinemoney.blogspot.com/2008/12/sell-your-photos.html

These sites are very demanding and high quality photos have to be submitted. I submitted photos to Fotolia and only one was accepted. They say because of light, subject or contrast. I had some other sites on my profile here you can check them out. Good luck. Btw the sites I joined are free, with no subscription to contributors.
