how can we trust somebody who created syphilis, venomous spiders, and AIDS???
and don't even get me started on quicksand...........it's like "oh, don't worry, that's just regular sand, go ahead, walk on it, you can trust me."
next thing you know......you're just a hat in the middle of a pool of quicksand.

Hello sconibear, You must know that man is the creator of most diseases and that God is the cure for all diseases. You cannot blame God because it is man that sins and Jesus is our Redeemer and we as human being created in His image must learn too live and obey the laws of God and Man so that all on Earth can be free of evil and all that it implies. If you would just reach out too the Lord he will hear you and heal all your pain but you must believe and be free. God bless you and yours on your journey for truth and justice.

man DID NOT create disease!!! it's always been here and if god created everything he must have created the diseases too.
i've seen sinners and i've seen people with great faith and a deep love of god........they both suffer equally.
i hope your god blesses you too.

And what makes you think that God created disease? Don't you know hell contains all the diseases you have mentioned, syphilis, AIDS, etc. Jesus was hung on a cross and by His strips we were healed. Jesus went to hell and left all those diseases there. As far as venomous spiders this has to do with nature. God had a master plan when He created venomous spiders. I'm sure there is a purpose for quicksand also. Just don't know what it is yet. By the way stop blaming God, the Creator for everything. If you knew God for yourself you'd understand a lot more than what you do. Man's understanding of God is limited. God is a Spirit and the spirit realm is far more vast than the natural or physical realm. Peace

Does this mean you have been through all this?
The syphilis,venomous spiders and Aids?
Did you walk into the quicksand too?
If you did, you are lucky to still be alive.
Maybe there is a God you can trust after all.
Take care, have a nice weekend.

G'd created everything, including our brains. Istead of sitting around and whining about how bad everything is we could be doing something about the stuff that is bothering us. We know that HIV is preventable if we use our brains. It is possible to avoid most venomous things and when was the last time there was a pool of quicksand in your front yard?
There is a reason for everything that G'd invented, He just did not bother to tell you. Maybe He figured you would still whine even if you knew. I happen to like spiders and snakes. And yes I have been bit a few times. It WAS nasty, but now I am much more respectful of the critters and I still think they all have a place in this world just as we do. And it is not just because G'd made them. It is also because they are Cool!!!

By the way Beth I do not handle snakes because of religion. You really are a case aren't you. I used to milk snakes for the folks in Miami that make anti venom. When my brother and I were kids we were the first people to figure out how to milk coral snakes and save the venom so that people could be saved when they were bit.
Get a grip Beth. Its not all about you. Some people actually do some good in this world and it has nothing to do with christianity. Oh wait thats right, You took all of our beliefs and twisted them into your own. I almost forgot.
Shalom

God didn't created AIDS neither did he created syphilis if you want to blame someone for sickness that is in this world then research it first. Read your bible and see the things that was created by God and then you can see what was created by man. I am HIV positive and I have learn to put my trust in God because he loves and care for me. When you are walking in the capable hands of God you will not worried about anything because he is the one who own this world. I would encourage you to learn to trust him.

The only thing on your list that was actually created by God is the spiders. Syphilis and aids came about because mankind was unwilling to lead a clean and moral life. As far as the quick sand goes I don't that much about it but I would be willing to bet that it was created by some ecological disaster that mankind themselves inflicted upon the planet. And as for the spiders, if we weren't mucking around with their habitat we would have nothing to fear because they don't come hunting for us. But that is just my opinion.

I didn't say God gave the diseases as punishments but that we brought them on ourselves. God is not obligated to protect us from our own stupidity.
And Sconi, I really don't know why we need stink bugs. Maybe the stink is just there way of telling us to stay out of there way. Or maybe they just have really bad BO.

Should I just laugh now and get it over with, sconibear? I don't propose to say I 'trust' in much. As experiences have proven, almost everything or everybody you trust lets you down eventually, or SAYS that something clearly BAD is 'for your good' or 'in your best interest'.
Now there are a handful of people I trust, and they likely trust me, but we are still - none of us - perfect.
I was recently in another thread where I mentioned that we are probably all just part of a gigantic social experiment, engineered for either someone's amusement or as a stepping stone to creating a better 'earth'.. someday. Of course there's going to be hideous awful things, the being who is being amused by our misfortunes has to see what we'll do, right? Also, what about natural consequences? Maybe the presence of those things has more to do with the laws of natural consequences and really not much to do with anybody purposely 'creating' them. That does bring up the argument of someone 'letting' something happen equalling out to 'making' it happen though, doesn't it? If you don't stop something, did you 'cause' it? People feel guilty all the TIME about not stopping things, and they feel it equates to them causing it and thus having the blame laid at their feet. I don't know if I think those are the same thing.

I'm pagan, because I have no trust in ANYBODY - except myself. I always know what I'm going to do, and that I'll be reliable. I have no wish to be a hat in the middle of a pool of quicksand, and I've never understood why anyone would sacrifice their only begotten son for a pack of moronic human beings in the first place. Whoops ... this sand sure feels a bit ...

Syphilis and aids are the result of disobedience to God's moral laws. If we obey God's commands the chances of getting these diseases is very unlikely. Had we been obedient to God, then venomous spiders would no bother with us and our resistance would be much stronger so that even if we were bitten, we would not be harmed. As far as quicksand, we would be more aware of our surroundings and walk around with a stick and stay away.
What I'm saying is that the conditions which we face today would have been different if we had been obedient. He would have taught us how to deal with our surroundings in a safe way. Much like parents teach their children so that they can avoid difficulties and dangers and live a happy life. Obedience is the key. Tha's my point of view.

what do you mean if "WE" had been more obidient???
i wasn't even around back then, if i would have been i woulda smacked that apple outta that stupid b1tches hand.......i don't see why i have to put up with quicksand for something somebody did thousands of years ago.
your loving god sounds more like a sadistic bully to me and i don't want no part of it.......no sir.

The positive or negative acts of the parents do affect their children. That's why doctors at times say certain diseases are genetically transmitted. One might not like it but that's the way life is.

If you said "Syphilis & Aids", it is disease... But if you said "Venomous Spiders", that is not disease... No one knows what Gods think, but all of each creations have their own meaning. If you don't want those disease comes to you, i believe you know how to prevent it. If you don't want get bite by spiders or snakes, then don't disturb their life.

Hi sconibear,
So after all these, who do you trust ultimately? Yourself or? Do you know that we can't even know what will happen to us tomorrow or even in the next 5 years? If you don't put your trust in God, the Creator, then what is your purpose on earth? Is it by chance that you are where you are now or who you are now? Do you see youself living just for the sake of surviving? Hope that you will think for yourself and ultimately choose what's the best for yourself.

every each of us must trust God, it is the first important thing that we must do in our everyday life from the moment we woke up to the time we close our eyes. as you grow older you are going to find out that everything that has happened to you in the past has a reason, always remember this, God will never gave you trials that you cannot overcome.if your going to trust God and will believe in his rules, life will be simple and easy, God will never forsake people who puts there trust in God.
