You are right! For a healthy body, it requires a good sleep to re-energize the body, gets freshness to the body so that it gets ready to next day! The time of sleep or term insomnia doesn't matter if there is a quality sleep for your body.
But how do you manage getting good sleep at various time of the day? Usually I feel it very difficult to disallow a pattern in my sleeping pattern. If I sleep during noon one day, I feel drowsy next day same time! I just can't control this quality sleep in my life yet!

No problems for me. I never sleep patterns change during a full month, because the job. I leave work at 10:00 am and return at 04:00 am. Then I fall asleep at about 05:00 or sometimes at 06:00 am. At 09:00 I wake up, after a bath and breakfast, I leave for work again.
Finished project, I sleep as usual at 1:00 or 2:00 am and wake up at 7:00 am.
For me, sleep does not have to be at the same time.
Now, I sleep more often during the day and do activities on the night, until dawn.
How do I manage them?
My brain is never set, but my body is set. Only sleep if tired and sleepy.
Happy sleeping..
