I had a compaq 1250ap laptop with ata password did any one have removal technique

Hmm, usually, opening the laptop and removing the small, round battery in the motherboard for ten secs. normally does the trick. But I can't say if it will work in your laptop. Try calling compaq and ask for technical support. I'm sure they'll be glad to assist you with this.
