Do you buy expensive gifts for your loved ones to show them you love them? Do you run all the way to the best pasta restaurant to buy for him/her his/her favorite pasta? Do you get yourself all wet buy giving her your coat / umbrella when it's raining heavily? Do you cook his/her favorite dishes to surprise him/her? Or do you whisper sweet words and say "I love you" in his/her ears?
What do you do to show that you love someone?

there was a time where i did something stupid for "love"
my boyfriend and i happen to have a long-distance relationship. and he invited me over since he got 1 week off from his review. the feeling of missing him so much and wanted to be with him was so strong that i disobeyed my aunt. She doesn't want me to go to some place. but no matter how she scolded me and got angry, i bought tickets and went to visit my boyfriend. :p how stubborn can i get? :(

i love making surprises, i will just whisper and say i love you, sometimes i will just make a letter and let him read it. Sometimes i will show my scrap book and the funny moments we have together. i like to be with him in the park and play and ride in the swing.
happy mylotting and smile always!

I don't think that it is necessary to show love to someone buy getting them material things. That is not what love is always about. You can show affection and caring for a significant person in your life just by giving them unconditional love or spending time with them.
Giving someone your attention and time can really say a lot. I suppose that I could also take my own advice. I think that I should have more communication and conversation with my spouse.
Sometimes even making a special dinner or breakfast could set the stage for someone realizing how much you love and care about them.
The feeling of acceptance is very important to a lot of people especially a special partner like a boyfriend, husband, wife, etc.
This is a very thought provoking question and I thank you for posting it and giving me some food for thought.

I hold his hand when his mother is being a pain. I Tell him it'll be alright when he gets laid off. I tell him the truth when it comes to the baby's health but in a way he can understand. I honor his beliefs even when they are different then my own.
I accept him as he is and support the changes he wish to make.
I love him.
