I have one alarm clock and usually get up after hitting snooze just once..lol..ut I was talking to some people at work and was surprised to find that most of them have at least two. They set them to go off within 5 minutes of each other to be sure they get up. There was one preson that had five...2 for him..2 for his wife and one in case neither got up..lol. So how many alarm clocks do you have?

I just have one. And I prefer to having none. Having one is enough. Willing is my most important factor to get up. Alarm clocks just tells me what time is it now, and what I should do next. So if not neccessary, I would like to get up alarmed by my biology clock.

I have one alarm clock. Im lucky i have that one. My cats have knocked it down so many times. The face plate is missing and so is the snooze button. If i want to doze more i have to re set it. I have it far enough from the bed i cant just reach over and do that i have to get up to reach it. I do have 3 alarms on my phone but i tend to sleep through those.

I just use 2. I use my cellphone alarm clock and my regular plug-in alarm clock. Just having one will never get me up on time in the morning.

Haha let's give a big laugh in this question for me. You are superb that you wake up in a single snoooze hehe...
You will surely get surprised when i say about me. But this is the fact. Well I use my mobile for the alarm. A single mobile can be used for multiple alarm. I set two alarms when I have important day. Other time only BUT with snooze that repeats for ten times in each five minutes. BUT, I can't wake in this too hehe...Only if I have really important task to do, I would wake up after few snooze, but not at once...
I was not like this before. At first when i started using alarm, a single alarm would work for me. I started keeping the alarm beside my head while sleeping. Slowly and slowly the alarm started to become useless for me because I turned it off and couldn't realize in the morning when did I turn off. But it was sure that it had rung and I had turned off. One of my teacher had suggested about this in the class that make the habit of keeping the alarm far away from your reach so that the disturbing sound let you wake, stand up then only turn off. So I did it. Yes it worked for me few times, then after that it also become habit to me and then I started turning off the alarm waking up, but again sleeping. After it became the habit, I started feeling uncounscuious in the morning that I couldn't realize when did i woke up, turned off the alarm and slept hehe...
Nowadays I use mobile phone and that's why I keep snooze for 10 times. I hear the ring in the early morning. But can't really figure out why it is ringing lol...I don't know what kind of thinkings come to me that time, mixed thinking of dream and unconsciousness that I forget that it was the alarm ringing suggesting me to wake up. Moreover I take the phone uncounsciously on my hand and start cancelling each and every ring and sometimes i let it ring with the phone in my hand, and I keep sleeping....
hehe...this is my alarm story...That is the fact and have been telling to every friends when they talk about waking up early in the morning hehe.....

Heavy sleepers definately need more help to get up. Getting used to a certain sound as we sleep is very possible too. It explains how people can live next to railroad tracks and such. Thanks for the story. I think there are a lot of people out there just like you when it comes to this issue. I think there are also people that are "night" people. I used to be so a long time ago but now I can get up in the morning after one snooze..lol..Thanks again and take care.

I have no alarm clock.but I never later for school and work . but ,some time ,if i have very important things to do ,I will make a alarm with my mobilephone ,but i alawys wake up before the bell rings.I think that's the effects of my biological clock .if i give a dictate that i must get up before 6 o'clock to my brain before I get to sleep ,maybe I will always think of this tings ,so I'll more tend to wake up at this time .

We just have one clock radio and the only time we use it is when we have to go on a trip and have to be up at five in the morning or some ridiculously early hour. Besides my husband when we worked was on afternoons, and I had this built in getting up at around seven so we really did not need any.

I have an alarm clock but haven't used it for the last 25 years or so. All I need to do is to focus on what time I wish to wake up and I will do so. That's if I need to wake up earlier than I naturally would which is around 6 a.m. Anybody can do this if they really want to - they just need to focus a little while before they go to sleep on the time they want to wake up naturally. Waking up this way I am rarely tired and feel more refreshed. - Derek

i do not use any special alarm clock as such. i use my mobile as my alarm. i usually set aroun 5 alarms after every 15 minutes or so. the fist two i set usually have a soft tone... but since they fail to wake me up as usual i use a very irritating tone to wake me and it does the job(lol).

Such desperate measures just to wake up huh. Lol. I didn't know there were people needing more than just one alram clock, haha, besides isn't there like cellphones now? So the alram would be persistent in waking you up every 5 minutes? haha, for me, if i were to use an alarm clock, i'd just have one, thank you. I wake up easily if my environment is too noisy.

I have ONE alarm clock and actually get up to music and not to an alarm. I rarely hit the snooze and also rarely go back to sleep, even when I have had little sleep. When I was working, I am now retired, I would usually just wake up on my own without an alarm clock each morning that I got up for work. I amazed myself and especially on those days that I hadn't had much sleep. I know of people who have their alarms across the room, so they have to get out of the bed to turn them off or they will turn them off and go back to sleep!!

I think my sleeping habits changed a lot after I had my kids, but one time 2 of my sisters came into my apartment and left Christmas gifts for my kids with me sleeping in the next room with the door open, and I never heard a thing!! I saw the gifts the next morning when the kids brought them to show me in bed and I wondered if Santa REALLY had come, and never heard the entire story until many years later. I kinda knew who did it, but not the particulars until then!!

Haha!~I know what you mean by a real pain, haha!~ I'm good here but have been busy as usual. I think the days ahead will be busier days so I'm trying to get as much rest as possible & yes, sleep early as well, haha!~I'll normally wake up about the same time automatically unless I'm really exhausted

Forget it sanu.
I have only 4 alarms at home but you talk about specifically alarm clock(that I don' t use after invention of mobile alarm), then I would say I have one table alarm clock.
