I just did. Has it happened that you were too tired or distracted and unable to sleep the whole night and just dozed off in the office. I did just that and the telephone ringing woke me up. Were you ever caught napping??

Hi dear, Sometimes I felt sleepy when there is no electricity and UPS got over then there is no option and by sitting idle I may feel sleepy. If so just go outside then watching birds for sometime then I will be refreshing again else I will make calls to my local friends and talking with them will change the mood. If I am busy with work then no question of feeling sleepy.

I wouldn't be able to sleep in my office. I am not able to sleep sitting...I need my bed and cover to be able to take a nap... Even when I am very tired like today, no way I would sleep in my office...

You may be getting sufficient sleep at nights and therefore do not have a problem during the day. Very often when I do not get proper sleep at nights I start feeling drowsy in the office. Yesterday was the first time when I actually fell asleep!

I am not qualified to answer this becasue I have never ever gone to an office. But still I thought I can write a few lines.I feel sorry for these office goers who have late nights and are forced to go to office the next day.For example I was sitting up with my son when he was doing some work till 1 at night day before and took a small nap late evening yestersay. My eyes just closed and I dozed off wthout even being aware of it[I didn't see it coming].I felt sorry FOR him because he could not enjoy that luxury.

I am one of the poor office goers who needs everyone's pity!!!! Last night I reached home only at 11.00 pm....after that had my dinner and finished all the house work....managed to sleep only at 2 in the morning and was up again at 5.30 to get ready to come to work. Am too sleepy just now to concentrate on anything and cannot even think of having a nap in the office!!

Some of us do have jobs where we have to be on our toes all day long. Luckily my job is not so and I get a chance to mylot from my office practically everyday. Yesterday was just a bad and tiring day and I did not realize when I dozed off till the phone rang. Hope it never happens again.

Why do all mothers conveniently blame their kids for everything....I am sure you must have been bird watching like Sreekala and blamed your daughter for your sleepless nights.

It has never actually happened to me, but I know there have been times when I wanted to! If I'm really tired, I do have a really difficult time focusing, but I usually can't fall asleep in public for some reason. I guess maybe that's a good thing, but I sure have wanted to just fall asleep in the middle of work before!

I owned my own business for a long time and yes, there were times that I did, but fortunately, my office was isolated away from others. I also only did it when I had the time, but never JUST fell asleep.

Having an isolated office is indeed very useful. But I sit just at the entrance of the office. The first person to be seen when anyone enters. I was just lucky I was not caught sleeping yesterday! Have to be on my toes today as the bosses will be in the office and I do not want to repeat yesterdays blunder!

I have never done this at work but in some meetings I must admit I dozed a bit until someone pushed me a little to wake me.

Well, I never doze off in my office where I am working presently as my present job is so interesting that I can't even think of sleeping. But about 10 years back I used to work in a transport company and I used to sleep a lot specially after the lunch hour in summer.

You can be my role model only during the weekends....during the week it is just work and work and work. Not everyone can be as lucky as you are....I can still see myself working 40 years from now!!!!!

I have a holiday every Saturday and Sunday. No extra holidays this week. But should not be complaining because I get bored by Sunday and just wait to get back to work on Monday.

Yes, sometimes this think happen to me as well. I know it is not good practice. But what can we do if we are exhausted very much. Ultimately it is the result of tiredness
