I have this certain hang up....
You see I refuse, under any circumstances, to sleep naked.
It's not because I am not comfortable sleeping naked.
It is just because of a strange fear or insecurity of mind.
You see, the way I figure it, if I were to sleep naked, and then for some reason my house were to catch fire in the middle of night, I would have to run out of my house naked! I do not want to have to run outside naked, so I will not sleep naked!
Do you sleep naked?
Have you ever ran outside naked?
Do you have any unlikely fears or insecurities?

Weird, why would you even think about the possibility?

Because it is my policy to over think all sorts of such trivial matters.

Yep, that is why I always sleep with something on. I don't worry about someone peeping into my windows or anything. I just fear some night I'll wake up to smoke, and a firefighter in my face. No way in heck I'm going to be rescued naked! I'd probably end up trying to stay in the burning apartment!

I do not want to sleep naked too because I fear that if I die in my sleep and then people will find me naked, that would be shameful. Also if there are emergencies (like fire) and I am naked, it would take time for me to grab for clothes instead of just run out of the house.

That is a reasonable fear. I would hate to have to run outside because my house in on fire. I sleep with a nightgown on. But only because I am comfortable with the nightgown. A while back I used to sleep naked but just got out of the habit of it. I can not think of any unlikely fears or insecurities. That doesn't mean I don't have any. It just means that I can't think of any right now.

I have in the past when there was no one but me and my husband. But now that you mention it, if my house caught on fire...yikes.

I might have a similar fear, betsyraeduke. I will not sleep naked unless something to cover up with is at the foot of my bed (on the bed). Also, with a little one in the house, the door must be closed for me to sleep that way as well. Since I can't stand the thought of my son feeling he can not get to me if he needed me, I pretty much never sleep naked.
I also have an unreasonable fear of some sicko obtaining too much information about my son over the internet.

before I had kids I had no problem sleeping naked
but since I had kids I dont feel comfortable doing so
I have the same fear
if for some reason the house catches fire I have to get up and get the kids out
the last thing I want to worry about is after the fact standing in the freezing cold being gawked at by firemen and EMTs
normally I wouldnt mind that but in the case of a house fire I dont think I would be in the mood LOL

You know I gotta say, never really did look at it that way before. Perhaps I am too comfortable with my self. Alway sleep naked. I would be embarrassed for you if you saw, but only because most people get embarrassed about it. Never thought of my house burning down, I find if you think about things like that they are more likely to happen. I sleep naked almost every night. I will go out of my house naked, it does not bother me, but I know it bothers others and I am mindful of that. Unlikely fears, I am afraid of enclosed places. And knocking on peoples doors. I also have a slight reluctance to make phone calls, but I am working on that one.
