I get headaches some times these days, since I retired, I've only had a fraction of the headaches I got before - probably because the building I worked in was a "sick" building.
I get headaches as an allergic reaction to some foods, and lots of airborne things, molds, some pollens.

Hi moneymommy..I guess I am one of the lucky ones who seldom get a headache. However, I do remember very clearly, an instance about 20 years ago. The doctor at emergency told me it was sinutis and would likely occur again. Thank heavens it hasnt.
My head hurt so bad I couldnt hold it up. I thought I was going to go crazy and normally I have a strong threshold for pain.
My whole forehead actually swelled up from it. I hope it never ever happens again!!! I hope you find the cause of yours and get rid of it. Headaches are terrible.

I get headaches frequently from reading. I usually don't get headaches that are too bad, because I will stop reading and then they'll go away with some Advil. But sometimes they'll last for several days. And sometimes they'll be very severe.

If you are getting persistent headaches, it would be a good idea to contact your doctor about them just to check that all is OK. Stress can cause headaches and it has done so with me quite often. Some people think that because I am a therapist, I should not be getting stress, but everybody gets stress and the mind can be very tricky in bringing it on. Thoughts about negative things, can cause the muscles around the neck and shoulders to tighten up meaning that the muscles get starved of blood-flow. This causes pain, which causes a further tightening of the muscles and the nerves leading up into the head get inflamed also and the result is a headache. Even a dream (unremembered) can cause this and we can wake up with a headache.
Every morning I practice my meditation and if I have a headache, it can be eliminated. - Derek

I've suffered from headaches for several years, or something like that. I can't remember exactly how long I've been suffering from them, but it's been several years to say the least. It seems that they have been getting worse, for the last year or so. They appear to be getting worse for some reason, which I can't fully understand.

i have migraine and sometimes i get headaches especially when the weather is hot. For migraine, i dont really take medicine on it, i only take if i cant take it anymore, ill just apply chinese ointment, massage, take a rest and sleep. i dont eat a lot of chocolate and junk foods, especially cheese flavored ones. For summer time headaches, ill make sure that i drink enough water. The heat cooks our brain, yes its true and this time its dehydration that will give us headache. Simple tips from my boyfriend, wash your head with tap water if it feels hot and drink lots of water.
Just examine yourself why you get headaches, and it its frequent consult your doctor
happy mylotting and smile always.

Yes I do. A couple times a month I will get headaches...some will be worse than others and it depends on the time of year, as when spring hits (if it ever will this year) then I will get sinus headaches when it is going to rain... oh dont even want to think about those but I do at least have tylenol sinus to help with those.
You could be getting them from the change of weather you have been dealing with lately in your area.... just a suggestion, since I am not a doctor. But my headaches seem to be from the weather about 80% of the time.
hope you feel better!!

I have suffered from headaches all my life. I remember going for an EEG when I was 6 because of frequent headache complaints. They didn't find anything though.
My headaches have continued sporadically since then. I have had a sinus-type headache for the past 3 months or so. It turned into a sinus infection, the antibiotics helped for about a week and then it came back full force. Today, I have the light sensitivity and nausea too. I just want it to go away.

I have been getting headaches recently. I get them because of sinus trouble. To get rid of one I take 2 ibuprofen and a Mussinx D. That usually clears a headache for me.

I have allergies so I usually get a headache when they act up on me. I also get headaches when Im really tired. I guess its my body telling me that I need rest. I also get headaches when I've gone a long time between meals, I guess its my blood sugar.
