Yes! Being a cancer survivor, I learned many things. One was to cut out sugar, white potatoes, corn products, white rice, white flour, to start.
There is a good website to search called Mercola.com. Take a look in there as there is much to read. He has a lot of videos on Youtube, too.
A good book, Licking the Sugar Habit, by Nancy Appleton, M.D. is good, too.
Start there as I could not write all there is to know and it is out there, already.

You are very welcome and it DOES make a difference. I never get sick, unless I cheat and eat that stuff again.

A daily dose of vitamin C is very important to boost your immune system. It keeps you away from most diseases. Accompany your intake of vitamin C with lots of exercises. Exercise will make you more resistant to stress. In case you want to know, stress is an agent which affects and weakens your immune system.

I think the best easily available source of protection is garlic. It might make you unpopular with your friends but I think it helps me get through the winter free of colds and flus. To a lesser extent leeks, onions and chives also help.
Green vegetables, particularly broccoli are very beneficial to general health.
Eat bread made from wholemeal flour or if baking use oat flakes to replace have the specified amount of flour. Hope this helps and I wish you Good Health.
