Impulsive decision turned right

A day after my birthday, my husband decided that we go on a day trip in one of the cool places here in Philippines. We live here in Manila and Tagaytay, one famous summer destination is just three hour away from our place. He invited his sister and three nieces and we all went there with our 6 months old baby boy. That was just planned during my birthday because his sister and nieces slept in our house. We had a great day trip and even if we all got tired we really enjoyed the nice spots in Tagaytay. That was an impulsive decision of my husband that turned out right because we all enjoyed even if the budget is quite tight. That was a birthday present he has been thinking a month before but he just told me after the trip. We brought home lots of pictures and delicacies from that place. We even saw lots of fogs and we enjoyed the super cool wind from the mountains. What about you? Have you had any experience deciding impulsively but it turned out right? Or have you regretted the decision you made? Share your stories so we could know how impulsive decisions affect our lives in different ways.

Just this weekend, my father suddenly decided that we should bring our Balikbayan relatives to Subic, right before the day they were to leave the Philippines. We tried the new SCTEX (Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway) and we came to the place on time. Our guests enjoyed the trip and the beach and though we didn't get to go snorkeling, we still think it was more than worth it :D Thanks for the response on my discussion!

we once, hubby and I, went to las vegas for the Tyson/Holyfield fight because i told my hubby i had a preminition that Holyfield was going to win and we could make money with it. even tho he had told me theres no way he will win, we drove there that evening and barely had time to bet. i won $ 40. on it because i didnt have that much to bet. and hubby took a chance even tho he was sure he'd probably loose it and won $ 120. so our whole trip, fun and all pretty well got paid for as we won money with other gambleing also. and we came home with money because of my impulse. later he said, gee, i wish i'd bet more!

Wow...that was cool! I know how relaxing it is for everyone. In my case, I love impulsive decision rather than planned especially when I was single....Every time friends and I will plan, we will never pursue the trip for some reasons!

I am so glad that even though it was an impulsive decision your family outing went really well indeed. When a baby is only six months old it takes some courage to travel for three hours. It was lucky that the trip fitted in well with your budget. It was a superb birthday present for you. I booked a flight to Mexico and then on the news there was coverage of a hurricane that hit the coast by Cancun. I felt so worried and sure enough shortly before my day of departure my travel agent gave me a refund. The airline wasn't able to fly into Cancun Airport at that time. I felt desperate to go to a tropical destination. I called a few travel agents. One told me there was a flight to Male in the Maldives. Yes, please, I said. I got a shock at accommodation prices when I saw a travel guide book on the Maldives. I spent five nights on a tiny tropical island but it got a bit boring. I could swim, snorkel, canoe or read. I spent two nights in the capital and then flew to an island with more to do. On the flight I saw amazing views of the islands and the reef. The hotel had a swimming pool and the island was connected to a chain of islands. I regretted my decision to wander on to a lonely beach when I took a bike off on a days exploration.

My husband was to go on a tour for two days I asked him to take us along (me and our son).On the way he was in a bad mood and started quarelling.I got so angry that I even told him to leave me back and go.I cried a lot on the way.We reached the place,we stayed in a beautiful resort. There I started thinking about everything in detail, and found that I nedded to change my attitude before expecting anything from him. In evening he came back after work,we didnot discuss a thing about what happened. We spent nice time together with our son.It was a lovely place. And our life changed after that because I knew how he wanted our life to be.I have changed myself, and can see luv in his eyes.
