I'm going to be making ham for Easter since this is what we have every year. I always buy a spiral ham. It's so easy to slice into and it always tastes delicious. I get the kind that comes with the brown sugar glaze packet. Oh I can just taste it now. Are you making ham for Easter?

Actually no one is making a ham this year. My in-laws are buying a pre-made meal for Sunday. Otherwise we usually host Easter but they insisted this year. But I will be looking forward to a few days after Easter and snagging some of those hams for a discounted price

I'm sure we'll have plenty of left overs from their house sent home and we love left overs. I just hope I find a deal at the grocery store ;0)

Definitely a ham with all of the trimmings. I make my own glaze with pineapple juice and sugar. First I remove the skin just about 20 minutes before the ham is cookes. I score the fat diagonally making a diamond pattern. Then I place rings of tinned pineapple across the fat part of the ham. I use toothpicks and put a maraschino cherry into each ring of pineapple. I boil the juice with brown sugar and then pout this glaze over the ham. Put the ham back into the oven for about 3o more minutes. This tastes so good.

I am actually planning on making a ham this Easter, but this will be my first one. I love to cook, but also like to try new things. I plan on using pineapple and cherries on my ham.

I will be bringing a ham to my brothers house for Easter dinner. I will probably put it in his roaster that I got him this past year to free up the oven for other things. I did not get a fancy spiral ham this year(although I agree they are great). The store I was at the other day had a sale on ham. $1.00 a pound, so I got a butt portion ham for $8.04.

I am not making the ham this Easter, but my aunt is. She is a fabulous cook and I can't wait to enjoy the fabulous meal she is preparing. Sometimes we have an alternate meat as well, if we have a lot of people for the occasion, just in case someone doesn't like the ham, or if they would prefer something else in addition to it. I don't think that is the case this year, but we'll see!

Sounds pretty yummy and I'm excited for Easter to be here and it will be a lot of fun. it a holiday for the young children and they are always so happy when the Easter bunny comes.
