Do you think mylot will ever close down?

I have been seeing those type of forum sites, something like mylot (but nothing beats mylot =D) that has been canceling their earning programs, usually because there are alot of people who often misuses the forum and post lots of "i don't know" remarks or simply senseless remarks just to get the money. What do you think of mylot? Do you think the users are "responsible" here and can you predict or at least share your opinion on whether mylot will ever close down...

I do not work for the site but I think the have a system down here to get rid of spammers and so forth so for the site to close down I think is very unlikely although you never really know. Things are always changing so it is good to have other things going on through online means that way if something fails you have a backup, take care and happy mylotting to you as well.

The system at myLot relies a lot on the users. We are asked in the Guidelines to help the myLot staff by reporting any posts which are violating the rules then they consider whether to delete them or not.

Haha, chill guys..I was just asking your opinions..It's okay to feel afraid that a site will close down because some of us may have already pinned high hopes on doing great stuff on mylot. so if a site closes down, it'll be such a let down..But then we'll have to understand the causes..I've experienced such a site too vbbwn.. =]

I hope it doesnt. It seems as though Mylot has been around for a couple years now and they seem to be doing something right to outlast the others. I just found mylot this year and I am truly addicted to here, even if I get on and post one post a day... I still have to get here. Plus I have learned so much from mylot from other mylotters it would be a shame to see something happen here.
happy mylotting.

well in the near future I think mylot is safe,
tho I have noticed alot of referral links being posted lately, the only way I see mylot dying if we allow the spammers and the referral link posters to get a hold of the site as the site is brill the way it is.
Lets hope it doesnt go the way of a few other sites that get spammed and spammed and spammed.

Best thing to do is report it that way the spam is filtered out. I think some mylotters are unware of not being allowed to place their links to other programs let them know or report that way we can make this a good site. Take care :)

I certainly hope not. My favorite site, quit their revenue sharing program and that was devastating enough. I didn't earn a lot of money through the site, but it was a little and it was helping. Now I have to seek other avenues for a little extra income. I do hope that mylot will stick around and so far with all the members, it looks like it will be a long time before that ever happens. At least I know I have someplace to go to earn a couple extra dollars to put in my gas tank.
I do know that people writing one or two word sentences in their reply is not appropriate, and people want to know more than...don't care, or doesn't matter. I mean we all have opinions, and it is nice to know why we have those opinions. It's always more than a "yes" or "no" answer.

hopefully not! it seems that mylot is doing very well and i think if that something's going well there's no reason to end it. also, the users here (well the majority) seem pretty friendly and aren't a bunch of scammers so i'm sore mylot will be fine. (and that's great for all of us who enjoy it so much!)

It's been around for a while so it's pretty safe to say it's probably not going anywhere anytime soon. It shows strong signs of stability.

It's really sad seeing others PTP sites closing down or stopping payments to their members, and unfortunately, the members are partly to blame.
Considering that myLot is a well-thought site, I think it will stay paying for more years (I really hope it does). The site had considered the occurrence of spammers and forum violators and made the members vital assets in keeping the boards clean. Some forums don't have this feature and their active moderators can't cope up checking the threads. Also, myLot made it clear that discussions should be relevant. It's a little bit harder to earn from this site. That's one bad thing, but in the long run, it is beneficial to everybody. The site will not be wasting payments for posts such as "Thank you", "I agree" and the likes and instead, the money will go to worthy, detailed discussions.

I think that there are always going to be people who either don't read the rules, understand the rules, or try and bend or break the rules. Mylot seems to have stood the test of time, though, and has found a system that works. They also seem to be pretty vigilant to people who are breaking the rules. I have found that the majority of mylot users try and stay within the confines of the rules, after all, that's what gets paid.

Well said uicbear. But yea, some of them don't even bother to read the rules, they just jump head on into the discussion so they could waste less time and earn money..Guess there are always people blinded by the word "Earn" and get careless enough to be banned..Hope the users will continue to be responsible and the system as alert as they had always been...^_^

i think it will
because i already attacched with a website named destroydebt.com
but it closes down it earnings programme

Destroydebt was a place to talk about finance and debt. It was too niche'. Mylot is very broad and allow's people to talk in all kinds of categories. Thus, if anything was to happen to Mylot it would take a lot bigger of a "spammer" force & it would take a lot longer as well.

Hey, that's the site i was actually referring to...but well, you also gotta understand why the moderator did that. If you went to many of their posts regardless of their titles, you'd see so many 2 word or 4 word answers and i personally feel ticked off..Who wouldn't when people were earnestly seeking answers -.-...But mylot here i believe is different...It has a strict system which i hope will continue to improve in sending spammers away...So that almost all the answers here are good ^_^ I hope you would stay in mylot with us and experience its interesting discussions which goes wayy beyond finances ;)
Happy mylotting, take care...

Yea why not? It has lots of interesting discussions...But then you see, if there were no incentives for us to participate in mylot here even if it really is great without the earnings program, mylot would really lose a lot of it's members, no matter how hard you want to deny, getting paid is always better than no pay yea? Maybe you would still come to mylot, but it won't be as frequent as ever..^_^

Hi, mira91! I hope that myLot does not ever close down. I don't know what I would do if they did. It would be really sad. And a lot of our hard efforts will be lost. MyLot is one of a kind, that is for sure. They are unique above all others. I love myLot and I know that many members do! If it is going to be closing down, I would never know, myLot has many dedicated members that enjoy being here. I among others is one of them.

hi
no this guy is there for 2 years but less payer for too much efforts...but mylot
has been for long time...he will continue coz i can see many public are interested
in chatting we can chat with any stranger coz our earnings are growing...so even
small kids can do this chatting on net with anyone....my dream is that this guy
should become like yahoo chat or aol chat paying atleast 1 dollar for discussion...
then it would be real joy for us to do discussions and make money online...
there would be too much public if mylot pays $1 for discussions instead of
cents...people should request for this things to mylot....
bye
luv

Interesting suggestion. I appreciate your opinion but i guess if mylot were to offer people $1 for discussions, this is the kind of thing that would ruin mylot because spammers everywhere will flood the discussions here with silly unrelated answers, you get what i'm directing to yea? And so, we should understand that a kind of regulation has to be in place in order to make EVERYONE have a great mylotting experience..
I hope you'll have a wonderful mylotting experience like many of us do..
take care Shek =DD

I can't really give much of an opinion yet, being that I am a new member. However, I think this is a really interesting idea! Getting people to acctually discuss and not just write single word responses to questions is great! (not to mention the possibility of earning a little bit of change.) Very cool!
