Midnight Sun (Edward's POV)- Should Stephanie Meyer finish this book

Stepahanie Meyer - author of Twilight series
Philippines

It has been previously released that Stephanie Meyer has temporarily abandoned the novel Midnight Sun- Edward's POV on Twilight due to its leakage over the internet. She was distraught over the leak and has chosen to halt the writing saying that this may affect her creativity and all.... Do you agree with Ms. Meyer. Should she continue writing the novel despite the leak?

I think she should do what she feels is right. I would love to read this book, but at the same time, if she decides not to, there is not a whole lot we as the readers can do. the "friend" who leaked this to the press should feel bad about it since there are millions others who would enjoy it

I think she should do whatever she wants, she is infact the author. If she feels it will affect her creativity then by all means she should not write any more. I am sure some day she might get "in the mood" again and finish it. Who knows.

I really do hope so. I honestly do understand her being a writer myself. But you can't blame the fans too, they have simply gone gaga over twilight. But who are we to judge, its funny coz she keeps on calling "twilight" her baby...

Truth is... I have read the so-called "leaked Midnight Sun" over the internet and frankly speaking, it is WAY MORE interesting than Bella's POV. It was so intense and interesting... I really hope she would grab her pen and start inking for more...*sigh

She said in an interview she never wanted that book to be released. She wrote that book as a gift for her sister and had no intentions on ever finishing it. I wouldn't mind it being released, or I wouldn't mind another book being published in the saga, but she's said she's done with that series and will be moving on with something else. I wouldn't mind another book as long as it wasn't from Jacob's POV. I like Jacob and all, but Bella belongs with Edward.

i certainly hope she finishes it. she also mentioned the possibility of writing more books based off other characters from the series. which i think would be fabulous. i just hope she doesn't run out of ideas or go over the same thing too many times. the funny thing about the leak was that part of the leak was posted on her website. she put like one chapter up there on her site and then quickly took it down but i am not surprised people snagged it up while it was there. i remember reading in a interview with rob pattinson that right before filming twilight he went and read all four books and she also had him read as far as she had gotten with midnight sun and it helped in alot with getting a hold on edward as a character.

Oooh oohhh!!! LOL Breaking Dawn! My most fave in the Twilight saga. Notice how Stephanie Meyer made each character leave a mark no matter how small their role is...Each vampire has a story to tell...Ok I have to stop. I hate to give spoilers...Enjoy reading!

I definitely agree! I'm sure Midnight Sun will still sell. I do understand though her reasons behind it. According to what I read somewhere in the internet she will still continue but it's gonna be 2 years after she started the book. I assume that would be in the year 2010. By the way you might want to vote in this site http://www.savemidnightsun.com/home.aspx. It's a website dedicated to Midnight Sun. Please vote!

I definitely want her to finish it. I actually read some of it when she posted it to her website and it was awesome. Getting Edward's POV is wonderful. I hope she does but as we know she is the author and for someone to do something so horrible I could understand why she might not want to finish it.

Not Meyer i think. According to the reports she was devastated when the leak came out apparently someone she trusted made the leak...

I like more Edward-Bella stories so I definitely would like Stephanie Meyer to finish the book. It would be nice to read Edward's perspective. Of course, I understand Meyer's disappointment/rage when she discovered that there was a leak...that's stealing intellectual property so if it will take awhile before she finishes the book, it's okay....but i truly hope she'll finish it one of these days.I think aside from the leak..she also has to deal with the pressure of coming up with a good book at par with Twilight.

I would love for her to write Midnight Sun. Because i think it would be good to see everything from Edwards perspective. But i do see how the leak affected her and would make her not want to write it. But its not our fault that it got leaked. So in a way its kind of like punishing all of her fans.

I am often a poet. I learned song, story, or poem is something that takes on its own life when it is released; a multifaceted life that glitters differently to each individual eye. to cease the writing of this story because of the apparent betrayal that occurred would be to abort a life that could have been, a life that will never quite cease to haunt the one that let it die in mid birth.

I want to be honest with all of you, but I haven't read the book yet. I've seen the movie, but that's about all the time that I have to spare for the "twilight fever". Please don't get me wrong absolutely loved the movie! I have the E-books of the twilight saga, but I just can't find the time to start reading. Anyway, I think she should finish the book!I don't think she would disappoint all the fans anxiously anticipating the end of the book. I also wanted to say that I think she's HOT!!! Ya'll enjoy reading now! PEACE!!! (",)

Since she told the press that she won't finish it, i guess she won't. I can understand that she might have been hurt with the whole "leak" thing. But as a popular writer she should try to consider her fan's woe and complete the book as a gift to us. I'm still keeping my fingers cross.

although it's very sad that midnight sun was leaked in that way, I think it should be released. Ms. Meyer says on her site she was so embarassed because it hadnt even been edited. But she also said due to high demand she will resume and publish midnight sun! cant waiT!
