I have tried making baskets, bags, hats, home decors and other stuff using indigenous materials or recycled ones. Doing this is so relaxing and I enjoy it so much. Two years ago, I started making beaded jewelries. My firends liked the pieces that I made so they asked me to make customized pieces for them and even introduced me to their friends who also bought some of my creations. I stopped making beaded jewelries when I got very busy in school. Now that Im done schooling, Im ready to work on making new pieces of jewelries and producing some other crafts. What craft do you enjoy doing?

Good you found something you enjoy doing.
I used to read books, swallow them, daily.
I could not go by without having a book.
Now, my life it's a little bit busy, with teenagers and financial problems, so I have no time for reading.
Except for the time I'm in the washroom (lol) and that's for newspapers on;y.
Oh, yes, I do slve some Sudoku puzzles before getting to sleep. This helps me relax and get ready for the night.
You go ahead with what you're doing, don't quit. It's awesome to something that you like and continue enjoying this!

I enjoy most any craft...but my passion is designing and making teddy bears. I have been somewhat away from the craft since my Mom passed away in 2000, but I am picking it up again and starting to design and will soon be behind my sewing machine working away and getting ready for that first sale this year. I also will soon be selling on ETSY, both finished bears and extra supplies that I need to eliminate from my inventory.

I enjoy creating Websites...probably why I am a Web Designer! I also enjoy cooking, gardening and a few other hobbies but I would not say those are exactly "crafts".

I have made jewelry and some other things and I teach children to make things. I am curious to see some of your items you have made from indigenous materials. Do you have any photographs that you can share with us here on myLot?

I will take some pictures when I go back to our old house in the province so you can see them. It may take long coz our summer classes will start on monday and I can't go back to the province (it's very far from here) until the summer classes are over. I am teaching in a university in one of the cities in southern Philippines. Thanks for the response.

I ABSOLUTELY enjoy scrapbooking. I just started one for my life during college and my little sister just recently had her birthday and is starting high school next year so I got her one as well and got some things to start her off with.
Its not exactly crafty but I do enjoy graphic design and film. I love the computer and I love being able to create something unique on it so thats where I always tend to go.
With your jewelry have you thought about making a website and selling them online? I figure that would be a great way to start a business especially now that you have time on your hand. If you don't want to start a website you can look into places like ebay for selling them as well. Its also great to find a craft that you love and see as a hobby and be able to make some sort of profit out of it.

I have an old website where I posted the beaded jewelries. I am developing a new page at multiply.com where I will post not only the beaded jewelries but also the other crafts that made. I am not very good in web designing though so I think it will take some time to finish it. Thanks for the advice :-)

No problem.
And don't worry too much about the actual design of the website. There are many programs you can buy which actually help design your site. If you want a more expensive one its called Dreamweaver and its absolutely amazing. Its what we use with school but since its Adobe - the cost is pretty high up there.
But either way, I did a lot of design back in high school and there are a ton of tutorials out there on the web and with a little messing around you'll be able to find exactly what you are looking for.

I enjoy knitting and sewing,
This past winter I had started to learn how to knit. I had made giant cowl neck scarves for my friends as holiday gifts. I also like to sew doll clothes for fun.

Currently I run a home business and its going quite well.
I want to get enough stock so I may open a store front downtown in a year or two.
I handsew dolls of all types and handknot macrame bracelets, necklaces and anklets.
I also import macrame bracelets and beautiful earrings from Equador and am looking
for other crafters to join me.
Basically, I arrange a set amount of their wares and have their items shipped to
me at my own expense, then I sell their goods, take 30% commission and the rest
goes to them. They receive a cheque on the 1st and the 15th.
I dabble with beadwork, crochet, knitting, painting, drawing, greeting cards,
scrapbooking, cross sticth, embroidery, candles, soaps, and many other crafts.

We used to make baskets too. They were made of coconut midribs, bamboo and colored plastic rattan. I learned it from the basketmakers in Bohol who used to export the product. Thanks for the response. Enjoy crafts!

I like to knit and to paint and redo old furniture and make it into "art". I have been reading about how to make throw rugs out of plastic bags, going to try that.I also want to try my hand at making a quilt from old t-shirts.

I have taught myself and taken so many classes for just about everything: knitting, crochet, beading, bobbin lace, tatting, embroidery, latch hook, cross stitch, needlepoint... oh what else? I know there's more but just can't think of them right now. :-) :-) But right now it looks like all I can make is jewerly... bead crochet, off loom weaving, stringing. :-) I have so many that I can wear a new piece every day of the month and not repeat any piece once. :-)

I enjoy making earrings! As it is simple to make~
And I have been attracted to make a quilt, I knew it when I surfed on the internet and found so many people can make their beautiful quilt. I still don't start the project now, but if I have much more time, it must be the first craft I will do without hesitation.

i've tried making cans which it was used by basket weave, muffler scarf which it was used by fabric, bookshelves, macrame is a form of textile-making using knotting rather than weaving or knitting. when i was in high school i enjoyed that much was macrame coz it was very simple to make, and i gave to my relative as for their simple remembrance rather than souvenir from me.

Hi there!
I love to cross-stitch and I have done many pieces. Most of the pieces I have sewn are made to order and I have been many times too. I have been earning from this craft and hobby for several years now.
I have done some bead works too from jewelries to bags, wallets and house accessories. I've sold some but most of them I've given as gifts.
I consider crafting as the most productive hobby. It's easier and not too much bulky and can easily be sold. It's a good thing you can also make money out of your crafting hobby. Keep it up!
Ciao!

Scrapbooking! I am fond of collectoing pictures and accesorizing it. I have an endless supply of beads and stickers from from friends so that won;t be a problem. All you need is a little bit of creativity and patience.

I would love to get into a lot more crafty things than I do. I have dibbled into quite a few things but have never really been to good at any of them. I have a whole tub full of supplies from all the ideas I had and never really stuck to. I get into the tub just to do the few crafty ideas my daughter gets and we do but it isn't much. The most "crafty" thing I do get into is crocheting but even there I only know the single stitch so all of the blankets or pot holders I make all look the same LOL.
I told my husband that this summer I was going to take our sun porch and set up a little area where I can get out some more stuff and made try to make some jewelery just for fun. I bought a sewing machine a few years back and had all these plans for it and then used it maybe a hand full of times and now it is just sitting in my basement..someday I will get it out and try to monkey around with it again(or so I tell myself). I wish I could be one of those people that was really crafty no matter what it was.

I don't know if this would be considered as a craft but well i love making stuff from white clay ^_^ Sometimes i'd make just plain happy birthday sculptures or maybe even make a jewelery box, yea out of clay. Just a simple one at that. But most of the times, i only make stuff to give as gifts to friends and family. =D
