From my experience, yes it will affect your studies. I worked part time and did online writing. I can say it made me more responsible and goal-oriented.

HI, I think it is very advisable to work whilst you are still studying. It will provide you with a better perspective of the outside world. If the subject you are onto is related with people, then I guess it shall be an add-on advantage. To sit idle or to chitchat unnecessarily is something I personally hate. Good luck for your studies and future endeavours. Cheers

Hi Bodhi Thank you for the opinion shared. You were right, it is good to work in a field related to people as you will be well exposed to the working experiences. Regards Thanusha

it all depends on your finacial conditions, if u badly need money and there is no one in your household earning enough for ur needs then u will have to do the job though it is not advisable coz that will affect your studies, but if u are a good student then u can manage both, adjusting the times of both and giving proper attention to both.

There should be not much problem if the student can discipline hinself/herself in studying and working. Many students worked part time to supplement their loan or whatever financial help they have been getting. A large number are able to adjust their time. Even one of my daughters works part time to meet the demands of her course. She is in the final semester and her studies appear to be intact. Working while studying can help a person become more matured in thinking. Such a person is usually more prepared to face the challenges of life after graduation. all the best, rosdimy

Thanks alot for the opinion. It actually depends on the individual. To be carried away working and earning neglecting career would not be good. It depends on the person to divide his/her time appropriately

yes, i will make them better adapt to the society when they are graduation from university. but if he do too much part time jot, it will waste time. because their main mission is to study and improve themselves.so they should balance it well.

I think it would not harm your studying, as long as you don't overdo it. Of course, if you worked too much, then tiredness would affect you, so it's just a matter of common sense. On the other hand, you also need a break from studies, to think about something else. So I would say it's good to have a small part time job:-) Regards Robin

It really depends on what your situation is. If you are in a position to devote your time to study, then by all means do so. Unfortunately, most people are forced to still provide for themselves while they attend school so it isn't so much a choice as it is a necessity. Personally I think students should work simply because life isn't compartmentalized. You will be juggling activities for the rest of your life.....why should your school life be exempt from that fact? Happy MyLotting.

I worked about 30 hours a week at Petsmart, and was in school full time. I am also an Art Major. It did not really take effect on my studies. I was able to work it all out in the end by doing any assignments right after all my classes were over and then work the next day.

It is difficult for me to fully concentrate on my study. The part time job is tiring and will affect the performance in study. I suggest you to study full time if you are still able to manage your financial.
