There It Was, Just Sitting In The Middle Of The Sidewalk!!!

YAY! We got a computer for Hubby. I was walking to the cafe today, when I dang near tripped over something kinda big, that was sitting in the middle of the sidewalk. I looked down and found a computer tower, and a monitor. I read the attached note and found that it had everything except a hard drive. That's just wonderful, because when Hubby left the USA to come to Canada, all he could bring was his own hard drive. So he had a hard drive with no computer, and there sat a computer with no harddrive. Not knowing how to get it home, I called a cab, and then told him to meet the cab at the back door. I gave the driver $10, we loaded the computer, and I sent him on his way, while I went up to the coffee shop.
Now Hubby's geting it all hooked up, and ready to install his hard drive. WOOHOO!!! No more sharing my laptop!!!! I love it.
Anyone else have any Easter miracles today? (April 12th)

that's cool I'm always finding something in the trash or along side the road. nothing really today but the other day my boyfriend found a brand new queen sized bed in the trash, the guy said he didn't want it (it was a ritzy neighborhood) so he took it.

A new queen size bed is an incredible thing. And as opposed to a computer. I mean people tend to change computers after some time and the way they dispose of is different. I did give away a computer I wasn't using to someone that will have a good use for it. A queen size bed though... and new! That is simply fantastic. By any chance, did you check if there were any large amounts of cash hidden in it somewhere? :)

Ok did I get this right the computer was on the sidewalk with a note that said yours for the taking???? With luck like that you could fall in a mud hole and come up covered in diamonds!!! Good for you, I'm definately happy for you but a little taken back by the luck. I have never heard of anything like this. Bet hubby is like a kid with a new toy, that's wonderful my friend.

yes, I want to donate it for charity or give it away, but I don't want strangers in my place...

pola you could also try signing up for freecycle or look on kijiji, at least in my area there are always people looking for old pc parts to play around with.. or maybe they resell them.. in any case if you deem it junk and want to get rid of it there are two viable options if you dont wanna leave it on teh sidewalk.

That does sound wonderful. I wondered what we would do with our old computers. But by the time we finish with them, they would be no good for anyone. I hope that you got it to work. Did it have the motherboard included, or did you have to buy that? And I suppose you had to buy a Cd of Windows Vista or Xp.
Oh I am still waiting for a rich uncle to come knocking at my door and say "I was just thinking of you, I was at the Apple store, and they had way too many Macbook Pros, cluttering up everything. so here's one for you! free!"

Now wouldn't that be nice. None of my Uncles are rich, or generous. Happy Easter, my friend.

My Easter miracle was being with my loved ones, having a great day, eating very good food, being able to take a nap and sleeping very soundly and VERY long following it all, with leftovers in the fridge for today!! (Apr 13th)

Wow!! Almost sounds like God was answering some of your prayers. I am sure by now you are still enjoying having 2 computers and not having to share yours. If my husband used a Computer we have more than one here too, so he could do things with them. Just glad to hear your story, and hope it always works out for the Best for you.

Wow... that's wonderful news my friend. I'll bet hubby is over the moon too. It was indeed a "miracle" that you came across the computer, and one which was surely meant to be. Have fun, my friend, and don't forget to say thank you to your guide!
Brightest Blessings.

We had what I teasingly called an Easter Miracle where I work. I work at a nursing home and a nurse who also works there has her mother in law there as a resident. The nurse told me that she had bought her mother-in-law a new pair of sneakers. The mother-in-law only has one leg. So kiddingly I said "Well you can give the other one to C". C also only has one leg, the opposite of the mother-in-law.
A few hours later I saw her and low and behold their foot was the same size and the shoe fit. The nurse was extra happy because the sneakers cost her $50.00. Then I saw C who got the unexpected sneaker and she was so happy. She really needed a new one.

Yippeee to an Easter miracle. I do not have any, but when I was moving into my new apartment, I had absolutely nothing, my old landlord wife was giving away stuff and we got more than enough to make a home of the new apartment. So yes I do believe in miracles and people with big hearts
