I recently saw a touch screen 17" Monitor at a computer store ,
It was pretty interesting to check it out , and for a few minutes , it actually appeared to be fun ..
You could just touch the start button the monitor , and browse into programs or explorer just by touching the screen (like any touch phone , but this was like 17" screen ) ..
Opening applications and Internet seemed a little weird initially , but fun :D
I wonder if this would be a good buy ? I mean , while checking it out for a few minutes , it seemed fine .. but how would it be to use it in the long run , like for hours together ? We are very used to using the mouse as a pointing device , instead using fingers on the screen might feel awkward ..
Is anybody using this touch screen monitor on a regular basis ?
Would be nice to get some feedback no this ..
Cheers and Happy Mylotting :)

I think it would be fun and easy to use but it would depend on what you were doing and would probably take abit of getting used to. (as all new technology does)
If your browsing the web or typing up a report I think it would be great, probably not the best if you want to play games!
You would have to see what programs the screen would support, I cant imagine it would support all of them.
I have seen 3D screens for games which are pretty cool, at 5 times the price of normal screens mind you, they only support a limited number of games though.

I have used a touch screen monitor but not for daily purposes. Instead we used the touch screens at my job because we were plugging it items constantly all day long (I work at Platos Closet - its a thrift store) so it was easier than scrolling constantly and moving the mouse around when you had the piece of clothing in your hand.
Otherwise the only other "touchscreen" I've used has been tablets - but those are laptops and you use a stylus.
For me I would see it getting annoying because even with just using it for work, it is so easy to touch the wrong thing because you are just a few pixels off.

I've never had a touchscreen monitor but I think it would be hard to wield since I'm used to use the mouse. But in using it for games especially for kids, they would have a blast.

i didn't have a touch screen monitor and never actually try it before... even my mobile phone also doesn't have a touch screen because i am a conservative person and i am happy with an old model of my mobile phone... but one day, i might want to try a touch screen as well when i have more money and the time is right... take care and have a nice day...

I think it would be awkward and actually a little hard to keep clean. the whole fingerprints on the screen might bug me. plus I used a cell phone with a touch screen once and it was more of a pain than it was worth and I constantly had to do a hard reset on my phone to fix and eventually it stopped working alltogether.

I really don't like this invention. It's kind of wasteful when a mouse works just as fine. I feel also that the screen could stop working sooner then say a mouse, etc because one's hands must be clean before touching the screen I can only assume. It'd be more of a chore especially for those who do not was their hands frequently.

I think it is good for home. But it is not fit for work.Such as windows office, especially programing. All the reasons of unpopular is there is not any computer OS which is invented for it.
