I usually visit a local horse racing track near me each year. They have always sent me 4 free passes. Well seems with the economy as bad as it is this year the recession has hit that area as well. I only got one free pass this year. Guess I'll be spending my myLot earnings there this time around. Has the economy affected any freebies and or perks you usually recieve each year?

I don't get any perks around here. I went to the doctor yesterday and he didn't even give me any free samples. hahaha But he did change one of my meds to a generic one. We had a Greyhound race track here that closed down in Jan. of last year I think it was. The other day though it has been bought and will have simulcast horse racing and next year the dogs will be back racing again.

I never frequented anyplace where I had to spend money so I don't get any freebies! At least you got one pass, though, it's an excuse to get off on your own and enjoy some space!

Not that I've noticed yet, but I guess it will come sooner or later. It's a time when we all have to pull our belts in and control what we spend, I guess, in case of job loss, or other loss of income.
Brightest Blessings my friend and enjoy your day out at the races.

I've never been to a horse racetrack. There is one close to me I should try my luck there, hehehe. At least you receive one free pass.

Yes, businesses are definitely being less generous! Our golf club used to give free meal tokens when you renewed your membership - but they don't do that anymore. Plus, the rewards points on my husband's Citibank card are now only worth half what they were. We use them for air fares, so it was a bit annoying they hadn't bothered writing to tell us they weren't worth as much. I suppose it's only the tip of the iceberg, and even more things will be cut in future ... maybe even myLot points!

Hi GRANDPA BOB,
I don't go anywhere to get freebies and perks where I am but i used to go to watch atheltics in Crystal Palace where I used to live many years ago and we always get a discount also good seat, but my husband is now well into his cycling and won't bed taking me to watch so I just have to watch it on out TV.
