How many days do you usually go on vacation for?

I'm the one in the family that plans any vacations for us. Usually when I make vacation arrangements it's for about 5 nights away somewhere. We have gone away for a little longer than that but it gets to be too much hassle with the kids. Sometimes when we go away it's just for 2 or three days and that can be plenty of time away. So when you go on vacation do you go away for the same amount of days or is it always different?

Our last vacation we went away for 4 days. But usally we go away for a week if possible. Usually the amount of time we spend on vacation depends on how much vacation time I have left, and it also depends on the time of the year.

Hello Shar. How are you ? Normally, I go on holidays once a year. Some years, twice in the year, depending on how busy the business is. If the normal once a year, then I like going on holidays for about 2 to 3 weeks, travelling to different places too. I would like to enjoy the the period to the full extent. Hawaii has been one of my favorite places !

I would love to go to Hawaii but I wouldn't want to take the long flight to get there.

Hello Shar. Two years ago, my mother, brother, my wife and I went to visit my senior aunt that we had not seen for a decade in my brother's car. We drove all the way to the country and when we arrived there, it was late in the evening. We stayed overnight and the next day we went to pay a visit my cousin in the city. After a big dinner, we left for our own city. The purpose of this short trip was to attend the dinner for the celebration of my cousin's daughter who passed the college entrance examination as well as visiting my aunt. Short as the trip was, we were very happy for it. Have a good day, Shar.

That sounds like a great trip, even though it was short. Sometimes the short trips are just as nice.

We usually go away for a week but it never seems long enough. This year things are going to be a bit different as we are going away for six weeks we are going to Ireland. As we are planning to move there in 12- 18 months so this will give me and the children the feel of the place and weather we would want to live there. It also gives us a chance to see my partner's family as most of them live in Ireland.

I usually try to travel for a couple of weeks because I find that the airfare is too expensive to use it up in only one week.

I usually go on vacation every other year. Although this year I have spent time with my daughter in N.C. and now I am planning to go on a cruise!!! I prefer not ot take my vacation time all at once but to split it up throughout the year. This way, I have a few days sspare if my children come out for Christmas and I can spend time with them. when the children were small it was a real stress time so it wasn't for me a vacation unless I employed someone to cook and clean! Good post.

I usually go for 5 to 7 days. I think it's just enough time to get away and relax. I also like to spend a couple of days at home before rushing back to work. Nothing worse than going back to work after a vacaton being tired from your trip..lol.

When I go on vaction, I like to stay away for a week or more. howerver lately I have been taking for or five day vactions. the last one was five days and I did not leave home, I used some of my vaction time to attend a weekend event. this is because of my current debt and what ever I can afford to do now.

This year is our first family vacation. My kids are 3 & 2 so we thought this year would be the perfect for our first vacation as a family. So this year our vacation is going to be 8 days becuase that is how long the lady rented the condo for. I plan on making a trip like this every year, but probably only for 7 days from now on cause my husband only gets vacation in weeks, so this time he had to take an extra day off this time.

It is usually three days and two nights. It is enough time to tour the place and at the same time to relax.

If we fly somewhere we usually do about 5 days. With that amount of time, you don't run out of things to do, but you've had a good amount of time to relax. If it's somewhere close like just to the beach than a couple of days usually does the trick.

I am the one that plan the vacation (along with my sister that is) We can only go for the maximum of three nights. I have cats and usually my neighbours will look after them when I am on vacation, I can't impose on them for long. We usually go by road trip and spend a couple of days before return.
