Mylot hasn't stated anywhere that you will get more points for first response. They have said that the quality of your content will determine as to how much you earn.

I think that you probably get extra points if people respond to your discussion. And you get points for reponding to a discussion. That's my guess.

You don't get extra points for starting a new discussion but you will get more points if you start discussions that get most responses. So the more responses you get, the more money you will earn. Mylot has also stated that its not only about the quantity but its about quality of your discussions, responses and comments.

This is something i would like to know as well, and does it matter whether the discussions you start have responses or not. And if it does, do you get more with the more responses you get..
I wonder.. im still trying to work it all out myself.

i do not think there is anything like extra points for starting a new discussion. however, i do believe there are extra points for your discussion being rated positive and for having your response rated as the best response. i could be wrong, but that is how it seems to me, going by the way some days I earn more and some days less in spite of having participated for the same duration in approximately same number of discussions. And no, i don't have referrals, so that is not a factor in my case either
