Man can they eat! I had my Grandsons over those boys can really eat, we went and got some Pizza, they had 2 Slices each, I got a Gallon of the Juice, Its like that flavored drink, I made them Chicken, I fried it. They had Pototoe Salad, a Salad, and still wanted more, they weren't even finished what they had in there plate, asking for more. I called them Pigs, they started laughing, but Those Guys can't really it, my one Grandson, he isn't as Big as the other two boys, He doesn't gain any lbs, and can eat up everything, do you have teenagers like that? That will eat you out of house and home, just a Joke. LOl! 14,16, 18 years old.

My older son is 8 and he has suddenly started behaving like a teenager and eating like one too! Though I always thought that he was like me and wouldn't put on weight easily even with any amount of eating, he has proved me wrong. He is starting to fill out and it's more flab than just filling out.
He is hungry almost all the time and eats a lot. He usually has the school lunch and everyone tells me ...unlike other children who need to be forced to eat....this one eats heartily for the whole class.
Wonder if he turned into a teenager quite early!

My son was kicked out of all you can eat restaurants when he was a teenager. He had no problems getting into the military, so weight was not a problem.
Kids can definitely eat!

I, too, have grandchildren that could eat me out of house and home, and two of the three are girls. Your grandson's appetite is normal. It just means that they are going through a growth spurt, which can last as long as 10 years. Girls usually grow out of it much sooner. I remember that when I was a teenager I ate like a field hand. After I got a job in the city and went back to the farm to visit, my father thought I was sick because I ate so little.

I really don't know why the eat like that, I guess because they burn a lot of energy.

I can remember my teenage when I used to eat alot but didn't get any fat onto me. My parents were after me all the time and were asking, why can't I get more weight.
I guess teen age is a time when body gets the maximum change in human life. Thus it needs more energy and hence more food. They can eat a whole house but won't get their tummy full because the consumption rate is high too! LOL

Well as far as gluttony goes, I think at 36 I can give any teenager a run for their money…ask my son. Between the two of us, we finish more than half the family budget on food (Thank God hubby dear is a frugal eater). Just the other day, my son (oh! he is 9yrs) and me went to dinner. After polishing off a plate of mutton curry, we polished off one whole chicken tandoori and really wanted some more. But my purse did not permit and we wanted some desert too! So we went for desert instead with a mutual promise to come back later with some more money
Boy! I wish I could have those magical plates of fairytales you know…wish for anything to eat and hey presto! Its there right in front of your eyes!

I used to. I have no idea where our sons put it all, they could eat two or three pizzas and then some. And there was never enough for them at supper time, and then they would go out and buy some more. It took me a while after they left home to get portions down to for two ordinary people so I was always putting things away in the freezer to have the next week orso.

I only have one left at home but I know just what you mean. I have all girls and oh my gd how they could eat! They'd eat so much that I'd get full watching and still not gain a pound. I had to put limits not just for my purse but because they were developing eating habits that later on could cause them to be very overweight and unhealthy.

I have two teenage sons my eldest who is 17 eats me out of house and home. I am sure he has a bottomless pit for a stomach and hollow legs (lol). No matter what he eats he never puts on any weight. But my 16 year old son is different he is not really a big eater some days he eats hardly anything but is still fit and healthy.

All my grandchildren eat well because they burn off a lot of calories and use a lot of energy. They're all very athletic, so it's good to see them eat! The chances are, you provided the boys with such delicious food my friend, that they just couldn't resist eating it all!
Brightest Blessings.
