What is your favorite laundry detergent brand?

I buy all different kinds of laundry detergent. If it's new and on sale I'll buy it. I have even tried store brands before which I don't think work too well. I can't say that I have one particular brand that is my favorite but there are a couple that I always buy because I know they work and I can afford them. Do you have a favorite laundry detergent?

Well, I would love to try the Tide Expressions. I think that they would make my clothes smell good! Cheer is another one. I like the smell of Gain and Downy. I love soft, floral and baby scents...

I too enjoy the different scents, but what I do because I only trust one brand of detergent is I use different scented dryer sheets. Those make your clothes stink pretty too :)

I really like Tide but then All came out with the small and mighty and I started buying that since it was smaller. It takes up less room in my recycle bin. I did notice that it is on sale more than Tide as well.

I don't really have a favorite one. I like Arm and Hammer. I buy it a lot because I know it works, and it goes on sale a lot. Even when it is not on sale it is cheaper than ALL, Tide, Era, and Gain.

Arm & Hammer is one of my favorites. It's always on sale plus I usually always have a coupon for it.

I agree with you. A lot of the cheaper ones are just as good as the more expensive.

I used to get Sun coz it's the cheapest one. And only get the ones for sensitive skin. Free of perfume. So I just pick the cheapest one there is. But the last time I went to get some, I had to get Arm and Hammer, I'm not complaining coz Arm and Hammer's a great brand. And I was quite surprised that it was the cheapest. I don't know if my supermarket just ran out of the Sun or they don't produce that anymore. I used to get the Tide, but it's really expensive and I've noticed that they're pretty much the same, I just add oxiclean in each load to make sure about the stains and it's perfect! It never gives me rashes, so it's great.

I really like Arm & Hammer too. It seems to be on sale a lot at the grocery stores which is great. I need to buy some of the oxyclean stuff. How much do you put in with your laundry detergent?

I tried the liquid oxiclean and I use a cap full or the line in the cup. With the solid ones, I just use a scoop full and that's alright. If there are a lot of stains, I use 2 scoops.

I have used severals different brands but the cheaper one that I use now cleans as well as the more expensive ones I have used so why waste your money on something that don't work any better. The prices is not why it works.

I love the smell of tide but I think in the 10 years I have been married I have never bought a thing of tide yet. It is to expensive. For the past year I have been making my own laundry detergent and I love it. It isnt that hard to do and it saves me a ton. I make batches up in 4 gallon buckets so I have a bunch at once. With all the laundry I seem to do it is so worth it to save the money.

My favorite laundry detergent is the cheapest. LOL I don't really care what brand it is so long as it is dye and perfume free. There have been a few times that I've bought the more expensive brands like ALL, but that's usually when it is on sale. I will also get ALL at Wal-Mart because they don't sell the brand that I normally buy there, at least not the dye and perfume free stuff.

That's what I do. I only buy the more expensive kinds when they're on sale. Can't afford it otherwise.

I like gain & tide, but I can only really afford X-tra. Plus I'm trying all-free right now to see if it helps with my sons eczema but it doesn't seem to make much of a difference. *sigh*

There is only 1 brand of laundry soap that i will buy. ERA, liquid. I even keep some in a spray borttle. It is very good for removing stains that way. Even blood, grease, cocolate, just everything. That is why i love this soap so much.

I also try different types of laundry detergent from time to time. I mainly just like to use the kinds that are not too expensive. It also seems that the more expensive ones cause me to get irritation. So it sort of has a way of working out for me in the long run anyway. I like to use the liquid kind and it isn't always a name brand. Cold water is the kind of water that I use to wash clothes and it doesn't seem that I can see a whole lot of bubbles with the detergent unless I add a good quantity of it. Purex works pretty well and another one called Sun detergent in the liquid form.

We only use the liquid kind too. I always have some Purex in my cabinet. I don't think I have tried Sun yet.

I'm a big fan of Purex. It's cheap and I've never had any problems with it doing a good job. It also smells pretty good. I just don't see enough difference between Purex and the brands that are 3X as expensive.

I used to buy the cheapest stuff I could find that would work. Then I was introduced to MelaPower and it's the best of both worlds!! Great price and Great product! I haven't used anything else in like 3 years.

I am really picky when it comes to laundry detergent ... the ONLY one I will use is Cold Water Tide for 2 reasons. 1) It saves on the energy bill as it is specifically used for cold water so I'm not using extra energy to heat the water. 2) No other brand of detergent has gotten out stains from my daughter's clothes. She will be 3 in June and she gets into EVERYTHING lol ... chocolate, other food stains, dirt, grass stains, you name it!

I would have to say liquid tide. I think Wisk works pretty good too. Those 2 are really the only ones were I don;t feel like I have to add extra to make sure the clothes are getting clean. Too bad they are the most expensive brands!

Well, it depends before i would use tide and ajax but now we have champion and surf. normally, i would use surf for my office clothes. but never forget to use downy either to kept them smooth and perfumed clean there being washed of. surf is cheap if you would only buy on packs.

It really depends on my fionacial situation. I prefer to buy a more expensive liquid brand and use less to offset the cost. Bu tsometimes I have to buy a local brand that is not very good but I cannot do any better at that time. I"ll definitely buy it if it is on sale. I donm't really have a favourite but like to buy a US brand.

I would have to say Tide. It is more expensive, but it gets the clothes clean. And I mainly wash in cold water, so maybe it saves a bit of money that way. I don't seem to have to use more than the 1 scoop. For the lady who said she doesn't get many suds, start your washer, add your detergent and let the tub fill and start aggitating before adding your clothes. I think u should see a dramatic difference.
