Are you house proud? Does your house look like it was ready to be in pictures? Mine doesn't and it never has, I just can't live that way, I have to be able to leave my shoes around and hand my coat over a chair. I do pick up once a day or so but I live casual in my home.

My apartment is a normal apartment but I am house proud though it does not look like something out of a home magazine but it's always clean and tidy. Things taken out is put back the same place. By keeping it and maintining it this way has earned me extra income...LOL! This is because I am a tupperware star consultant who does quotations to my customers on house living and kitchen organizing. And many deals are closed just by them looking at my house especially the kitchen storage area. so I keep it that way. It's not very hard to keep things in place as there's only my husband and me in the apartment and he too does not like mess. So we are equal...ehhehe!!

I love my house and yes I take pride in keeping it clean and organized, does that mean you can eat off the floors, well no, I have triplets after all. Is it always spotless, again no, triplets. But for the most part my home is clean, organized and not cluttered. Someone could drop by and I would not be embarrassed. I mop the floors once a day, vacuum once a day, my kitchen is cleaned after every meal and my beds are made in the morning. This is my job after all.

congratulations you are the first one to say you keep your house clean and picked up the rest of us are not so good at that. I was like that when I was a stay at home Mom but once I went outside to work it's a good thing I had a housekeeper twice a month. That was the first thing I did with the money I earned. Blessings to you stay at home mom

If I worked I would be doing the same thing as you do, but seeing how I stay home all day I try to clean it myself.

My house is casual too. I don't want to live in a showroom. It would make me uncomfortable. My house is very clean but it is lived in. My shoes are beneath the coffee table and my purse is hung on the back of my dining room chair. I'm at home.

Hi savypat...No it certainly is not. However I am working on it. I try to do a little bit more each day so that it doesn't constantly look like a tornado ripped through just the inside of the house!

No, I've never been houseproud. I don't like dirt, and I do keep the kitchen, bathroom and toilets clean, but everywhere else is pretty messy. I like to feel at home, and couldn't do that if I was worried about keeping things shiny and new-looking. I always feel uncomfortable when I go to the homes of people who are extremely houseproud, you feel as though you can't relax.

It seems I am cleaning non stop but then I have 2 toddler sons ages 2 and 3 so no my house is not spotless. I can honestly say that even if I did not have children it still would not be picture perfect. Dont get me wrong my house is clean but you will always find toys here and there and sippy cups on the table. I am not a clean freak but at the same time my house is clean enough to invite any one over and not be embarressed.

When I had small children I also cleaned non stop. They are so low to the ground and often crawling on the floor, that's why I was so careful about keeping clean. Hang in there it gets better or at least the clutter is higher up.

Definitely am not house proud. My house only become spotless clean and tidy every saturday when the cleaner make her round. But I do mop my house everyday as I believe in hygiene and let the cleaner do all the tidying to keep everything in proper.

Nope, I'm really too lazy to. But sometimes I get into one of these energetic moods, and I will clean up the whole house. The only thing that usually bothers me is sticky floors, which I would mop up immediately.

No, I am not a house proud guy. I do think that I will have one house in next 10 years or so. We have never been in our own house in our life. Have been sharing a house with our relatives which was a horrible experience my friend and that too is not with us at all!

Sharing a house can really be terrible, there have been many times when I have done it, but I was lucky and the people I had to live with were very good.

Well you can rent and still have a home. A home is not so much a place or building it's a state of mind. I'm glad you were able to make the move.

They had too many criminals in their family that we had to sell our part of that house and have to live on rent!

I live casual too, but when I put my house on the market, I discovered how to make it bandbox perfect. It just gets that way when I know a potential buyer is coming to view it. I fly around putting things away and cleaning up and get a whole week's housework done in a couple of hours. Once I move into a new house, I'm hoping I can fool myself into still doing it that way. I'd certainly have more time for things I really want to be doing, like myLotting for example.
