If you want to raise a child, raise a dog first.--Do you agree?

I am kinda of person that lack of patience about things and people. I easy get angry to my close people, i try to control my angry and my emotion. But still, it's hard for me to control it sometimes.
I like babies, and i want to have 2 if i get married. But at the same time, i am also worry about to raise a child. I know it is not easy to rasie a child, we can learn that from our parents. It's kind of conflict that you like to have a chlid then you are afriad taht you are not able to take good care of them. My friends then suggest me to raise a pet, like a dog first if i want to be a mom for a child, because taking good care of a dog, need lots of efforts as well. You need to feed them, teach them to be well behavior, take bath for them, make them happy etc.
Do you agree on my friends suggestion? If not, what is your advice?

No its not the same thing at all. A pet can not make you feel the same kind of love the first time you look into their eyes and see their smile or hear their first words or watch their first steps .. it is all amazing things that will have you melt inside .. I've seen the toughest man cry when he first hears the words daddy .. There is no comparison to having children just trust yourself and appreciate every single moment you have with them because each day is different and each day brings soemthing new

I love your answers! I will vote you as my best answers. I could not agree more! I know watching baby grow up step by step is the most wonderful things in the world. I've heard a lot of appreciations and enjoyments that they gain from their babies. I envy them so much!

As a response of your last comment regarding Chinese movies,my answer is that I am a Chinese too.
And I do not agree with your friend's advice about learning how to raise a child.
The reason is that dog is not a baby,in particular,not your baby.
I believe you will love your baby very much. Because he or she is your child.
I do not know how to express the love between mother and child,but I am confident that you can handle it well. Do not worry.You will be a nice mother.

Hi Fengxiang,
Thanks for responding my discussions. You are right, child and dogs are different, but what i am trying to learn is to be patience to the child. With the help of my mom, i think i will be okay if i become a mother one day. Thank you.

Well, raising a kid it's not the same as a dog.
I like to separate animals from humans.
But when i hear the news about some parents who kill their kids, or rape...
Not everyone has born with the gift of loving others.

I agree that pets or dog can never be the same as a kid. But what i am trying to say is that if i can't not even take good care of animals, i might not be ready for a kid yet.

Well, I sorta agree with it. I mean, if you can't take good care a dog, what more of a child. Well, they are different in some ways, but there is this sense of responsibility that must be attained in this.

Thanks for responding my discussion. Yes, that's what exactly i am talking about. If i am not able to take care of a dog, then there is no way inhell that i can take good care of a child.
