Recently heard a shocking story of Domestic Violence against a friend. she left her husband for beating her & the kids...now the District Attorney says there is not enough evidence to put the man in jail for making his kids eat dog food??? The kids are 2 & 4yrs old & have told the authorities many times that he makes them eat dog food, drink from the dogs waterbowl & hits them if they refuse...the authorities say it is not PROOF of Abuse? What's your opionion? What should be considered PROOF in this situation?

Domestic Abuse - Man threatening woman with fist
Unfortunately, the abusers generally get off in cases such as those. They have no remorse, they care little about the damage they have done to their children, and they will do it again and again until the day they die. I hope that the children can get some counselling to try and repair what damage has already been done. This is demeaning and humiliating. The only proof is that when there is bruising, etc. photos have to be taken and the police have to be called each time. This is how the police build a case that the DA can use to prosecute the abuser. There is no other way, and unfortunately, many women are too afraid to call the police because they know there will be consequences afterward.

Your words are so true, in this case the kids have told Attorneys, counselors, police, Child Services & the DA, still no PROOF...mabey if she took the kids to the hospital & had their little stomachs pumped it would provide the evidence? Ya think?

Wow! That is terrible! I feel so sorry for those children, and he calls himself a human being? It honestly I believe all comes down to the state that you live in, also if there was any domestic violence reports written prior, and if dyfus was ever involved. They may not get him for that having the kids eat dog food, but they could possibly get him for something. She should also put a restraining order against him. No child, or woman should ever go through any of that. If he fights for visitations I don't think that any court with disagree with it, but she has all rights to request them to be supervised visitations. The court only looks at what is written on paper.
