god? i always heard about things being "a miracle from god" but for people that dont believe in god do they still believe in miracles? can there be miracles with out a god? i believe in miracles but dont believe in miracles being only from god.. i believe that nature can bring "miracles" that can usually be explained later scientifically and shouldnt be written off and religious experience and never question it.. of couse this is JUST my OPINION!!
so what is your take? are miracles from god only or do you view miracles as things that just havent been explained yet or what?
please try to be respectful to all beliefs when answering since i would hate to have people not answer due to being afraid of being jumped on or something..

Okay my nerdy butt looked up the definition of miracle....why because i was curious on what constitutes a miracle. And just for fun this is what it says..
1. an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.
2. such an effect or event manifesting or considered as a work of God.
3. a wonder; marvel.
4. a wonderful or surpassing example of some quality: a miracle of modern acoustics.
Well if you believe in the supernatural, than yeah you can have a miracle with out it being from god. But i do think most people think miracles are of a work of god, but then i would have to ask the question..which god..who's god.
But i do have to ask what is a miracle, and i dont mean the definition, but an actual miracle...how would i know one if i seen one?? What, other than being supernatural, makes a miracle a miracle. Can two people see the same thing and one think its a miracle and the other not...who is right then??

See i wouldnt because thats just the way of the storm. Its natural for them to change course and what not...i would label it as lucky...i think laying it on gods shoulders is a bit much.

to me miracles are good things that happen to us that can't be explained. so they could be like you said, unexplainable at the present time but could be explained scientifically in the future, or it could actually be from god or the universe. there are people who are good at attracting these 'miracles' into their lives using the 'law of attraction.' i'm not good at it (yet) but i do believe that your mindset (or vibration) does influence what comes into your life whether you believe in a god or not.

Well i think it's because people have a different name for a miracle that's not relation spiritually. They call it "magic". You know, like when Jesus walked on water, it was called a miracle but when Cris Angel walked on water, they call it magic. When David Blaine Levitated, people call it illusion. In Science, it's "breakthrough" because they always believe that there's always an explanation for something. It's just in the name i guess.

OK, I FEEL....
Miracles can happen to anyone no matter what faith they do or don't have. It's a label. One person's miracle is another's as of yet unexplained scientific oddity, which is another's simply really cool moment.
Take away the label and it's still awesome so who cares what it's called? I hate when people fight over a neat thing because they want to pull it on to their side.
But that's just my thinking on it.

If what happened can be explained , through science or otherwise, then it isn't a miracle. It is just a great happening.I believe in G-d so I feel that all miracles have something to do with Him.But not all miracles have something to do with a any religion. The one I remember is the missed fieldgoal in the Giants- Bills super Bowl, that Was a miracle. There isn't any logicalWas G-d responsible? In a way but it has nothing to do with religion. But a miracle just the same. reason why he missed it.

With respect, if an event can be explained scientifically, how can it be called a miracle? I personally believe that God created certain laws of nature and if something happens that goes against those laws, it has to be called a miracle. Also, since it's God's laws, only He can breach His law. I believe we can pray for miracles, but I think God is the only one who can make them happen. Like you, this is just my opinion.

Miracle always related with some magic or with some spiritual as well. We always be careful about our day to day work. Otherwise this miracle always goes against our wishes.

miracles can happen everywhere and anytime. it would be a miracle if i manage to make a girl as beautiful as ur to fall in love with me. It would be a miracle if i win a medal at any race competition so not all are which include god but since we have god and how else we show God is so big and great so nearly all miracles we attribute to him which are good and which are not good we attribute to satan even if he has no role in it:D

I think to use the term "miracle" you are giving it a divine connotation. Even when one uses the phrase "miracle of nature" it seems to me that you are giving the power of that occurrence to come higher power, call it God or whatever.
I think people are pretty quick to assign miracle status to many everyday natural occurrences. Don't get me wrong, some everyday occurrences are spectacular, but they can be explained or made account for.
A miracle, from what I understand it to be, is something happening, which shouldn't really happen, and which can't be explained by any current means. For example, a person's cancer going into remission with no kind of medical treatment.

yeah when people say miracle it does seem to automatically imply a higher being even when nature is involved

i define miracles as a solution to a problem which is hard to solve, and belive me its not necessary to be spiritual ones always
i was suffering badly in my schooling life but i worked hard and a bit of luck achived something that no one expected me to, that is what i called a miracle
so miracles may not be just from god, they can be created by your own self and others within your life circle

All in this world are natural, and who are one with this life is us, so all miracle, all the good thing happen, all the badness, already in our hand, life is cause and consequence.
