Since I have been watching sodium counts I try to either eat fresh vegetables or frozen vegetables. They are both the lowest in sodium counts, which helps ward off the water weight issues and keeps your body healthier. But cans sometimes are more convieient unless you do the prewashing to get rid of some of the sodium from the canning process. So which do you prefer?

Hi. taface412. I usually eat canned goods, but I am going to start eating more vegetables and fruits fresh. I do now, but not as much as I would like to. We grew up on eating vegetables, especially that were grown straight from the ground. And eating them this way has been very healthy for me and my family. I am planning to choose more fresh fruits and vegetables instead of the ones from the can.

I always choose fresh vegetable rather than those that are canned. Canned vegetables are indeed easier but the fresh ones are perhaps better for health.

We actually eat fresh, canned and frozen. I buy mostly fresh vegetables when I can. I always buy canned green beans since the kids love them and we eat them just about every night. That's the only vegetable that I buy canned. I also buy frozen corn, peas & carrots and also mixed vegetables.

I prefer fresh vegetables, but frozen vegetables are okay, too. I don't like all vegetables, but I think that some fresh vegetable are very delicious. The only thing I don't like is canned vegetables. There was a time when I used to buy canned vegetables because it was easier, but one day I was eating some canned vegetables (peas or corn I think) and there was something wrong with them, they tasted really awful. Since then I have never bought canned vegetables again, bëcause it always reminds of the taste that I didn't like.

I prefer fresh. Not only does my family want fresh, but they would prefer to have organically grown produce...and since that isn't always possible, I always try to buy locally grown. The less processing the man and machine the better...besides produce always tastes so much better when fresh and/or organic.

I'd rather do fresh veggies because I have to prepare them. Canned are alright too, you just have to pay attention to the sodium content. Frozen works too. Good luck.

I prefer fresh when I can get them. Some stores do carry a no salt or low salt in canned but they may have them in a different area of the store than just with the canned. I do freeze some too from fresh when I get more than I would cook in one setting.

I prefer fresh vegetables. It's just how crispy and crunchy they are. I don't enjoy them after they've been cooked.

I do prefer the fresh vegetables because they are the healthiest for you and there are no added in stuff to them unless you do it yourself. We do still do the frozen vegetables and the canned ones if i can't make a stop to the fruit stand or the fresh vegetables at the grocery store are to expensive to buy. The canned ones i find are the worst to eat since they add in a lot of stuff like especially the sodium and the syrup stuff and whatever else they might add isn't always good for you. You always have to be careful when you are grocery shopping and always look for the healthiest things you can eat for you an your family. Enjoy Mylotting

I prefer fresh vegetables. Canned or frozen vegetables seems to lose the taste and nutrients after the long storage process. I've tried mix veggies (the one with dice carrots, corns and peas) before and I hate it! (no offense~~)

I eat canned beans of course... but everything else I prefer frozen.... greenbeans, peas, corn. I HATE canned potatoes and carrots however... they make me sick.
