Would you keep the leftover from tonight's dinner or waste it?

You might live with your family, or you might already start your family of your own. Your parents or your spouse might cook a bountiful dinner at home. We tend to eat as much as we can, but sometimes, we might have some leftover. Would you or your family used to keep the leftover for tomorrow or just dump it to the trash can? For my family, we don't want to waste any food, we intend to keep it for tomorrow. How about you?

We don't like to waste food in our family. We usually keep our leftovers for lunches the next day. If its something that can be frozen sometimes we freeze it to keep it for the next time one of us is in the mood to eat it. I hate wasting food. It feels like throwing away money when you do.

I usually keep the leftover food and finish the next day or eat it for dinner gain. I don't like wasting food and throw them away just because it is too much. I just keep them in the refrigerator and reheat it next day, it will still taste fine and won't make you sick.

We always keep the leftovers. If there is enough it will be our dinner the next day. If it is not enough for the 4 of us then my husband or I will have it for lunch. If we have too many leftovers, we will put some in the freezer. We try not to waste food, but sometimes we will discover something in the back of the frigde that is green and fuzzy

Yes we also keep food for tomorrow. I hate wasting foods but when the food is no longer good to eat, say it is already stale or spoiled. I and my husband always keep leftover foods in the refrigerator so that we can eat it tomorrow. We have an oven so reheating of food is no problem. We sometimes use the pan to reheat foods. Sometimes leftovers taste better after being refrigerated. In this times of crisis it is not good to just throw excess foods. But we do not take the risk if we think foods are no longer okay to eat. We throw foods that has bad smell or taste to avoid stomach ache and other food poisoning. It is better to be safe than be thrifty in a wrong way.

Oh yes, we reheat them over and over and over until they're gone. A lot of people are hungry in some parts of the world so we just don't have the heart to waste food.

Hi there, I live alone in an apartment and I am a student. Well food for me is so important, i just cannot live without eating lol. So when i bake something and at the end of the evening i have plenty of leftovers, of course i will keep it and put the food in my fridge. I love leftovers and I'm against wasting food. So i do eat my leftovers the next day, for breakfast sometimes, lunch or souper; it can be some chicken, some pizzas, pasta etc. When i see reports about poor countries, these people don't even eat during days. So hows possible today in 2009 to waste food? I think its wrong and i say to myself that I'm lucky to have access to quality food every day. I enjoy every bite i make in my foods, especially my leftovers; i just need to warm the food in microwave and voila...its ready to eat.

We always keep our leftovers. Sometimes they're the next day's lunch or the next night's dinner. Sometimes, with some foods, the leftovers actually taste better after a day or two when the flavors can meld together more.

I always keep my leftovers. If there is enough to serve it again, I will. If there is not enough for everybody, somebody will eat it for lunch. But we do not waste any food. If the leftovers are in the refrigerator, and nobody at home eats them - my son will come over, and I will let him take it home. If worse comes to worse, I have two dogs that love table food (though I really do not like to feed them table food). Sometimes, though, they will get a little treat! Rarely does any food go in the trash.

I never waste food! I always stick leftovers in the fridge in tupperware. If its vegetables, I stick it in the freezer. If we don't end up eating the leftovers, that's a shame, but I would rather attempt to eat them rather than throw them out at the start!

Ir depends on the viand and type of food. If the food can last and be good for tomorrow, why not. But if it will be spoiled within the next few hours. It ends up to be part of the dinner of our dogs and cats. Hahaha.. And they tend to eat left overs rather than processed canned dog foods or pedigree. And during the morning we just tend to heat up the left over and add it to our break fast, if the assigned cook for that day is in the mood, she might also be able to modify the left over to a more exciting break fast!

We don't waste food either. As much as possible we try to cook food just enough for one eating. Let's say we had some leftover during lunch, we just add a bit more viand or soup to make another complete meal that would be eaten for dinner.

we keep our left overs and give it to our chickens that way its not throwing money a way as kids never eat it all anyway.saying that though we use some cooked meat in a sandwich,or give it to the dogs.if we have salad and there is cucumber i give it to the giant africa land snails.so that way we never throw any food away.

My wife usually keep the leftover food and reheat it for the nextday. For instance, breakfast and lunch. We need to do this to save lots of money for our son's future and I don't want to waste it because as we all know thousands to millions of people around the world die of starvation or hunger each year.

Hi clorissa, there is always some left over food at the end of the day. I put into containers and neatly pack it up for the next day. Fish and meat tastes better the next day and all at home want to have them the next day. I never throw food away no matter how much i have cooked. If there is a lot of food left then i freeze it and use it at a later date..

We keep our leftovers (in fridge or the cupboard). It is a waste just to throw them away. We will either reheat them for tomorrow's lunch or dinners, or make a new recipe out of it (usually by the name that start with leftovers like leftovers sandwiches or leftovers fried rice )

in our house leftover food usually kept and served the next day. i do it personally because we all know the fact that we're experiencing global financial crisis and a very little piece of cake is actually appreciated. everybody needs to save and if you can cook for the exact member of the family then do, i think this is one way to avoid nor prevent from having leftovers. or if you can't really avoid from cooking too much just recycle the food the next day before serving aside from reheating it.
