Unlike most, I do not eat dressing on my salads. I try to mix it up regularly. I usually use Romain lettuce since iceburg is tasteless and not of much nutritional value. sometimes I add fresh spinach.
I also try to use different things so i don't get bored and I get a variety of tastes.
I use different kinds of cheeses. I also throw in a few olives now and then (not all the time because of the fat). Sometimes I use green ones and other times i use black olives.
I use different veggies too. I use cauliflower sometimes, broccoli at times, both other times.Occasionally I put in radishes or green onions.
I pretty much play mix and match.
I also make different kinds of salads. Taco salad, broccoli-cauliflower salad, or corn salad.
have fun with it! Try different things and eat up!

Try adding some whole grain croutons, low fat shredded cheese, and some low or no fat dressing. This adds a lot of flavor without adding too much bad stuff.

I like to add fresh herbs to my salad or just some of my favorite veggies. I also suggest adding fresh grated cheese and a few tortilla strips to add a little crunch. Do you like salad dressing because if you do, there are plenty of flavors tthat you can add. I personally like bacon flavored dressings.

I LIKE TO CHOP UP A VARIETY OF SEASONAL VEGITABLES , carrots , peppers. onions, apple, radish any thing you like , I chop up quite small , add light mayo , lemon juice , black pepper to taste any herbs you like ..give it a stir .. I then enjoy that with some cold meat or a quiche... I do still have some tomatoe , cucumber and lettuce sometimes , but the chopped veg are the best salad ever . Give it a go *

I am eating a salad as i write this and i have it with tuna and lots of olive oil. I think the key to enjoying salad is the dressing. If you get a good dressing it will add lots of flavour. Just experiment with different toppings and add something to it that you love thats why i always have tuna or chicken.
