Single mother and Holidays

I know it is a bit off but, I am a single mom, I tend to think about holidays about this time of year. I mean as saving up for things my kids want. I do get upset when it is a few weeks before Christmas and all over the internet you read things about people needing help with the holidays. The holidays do not change they are always around the same time of year. I do some PTC sites and use that for Holidays only. Does any one do anything like that? Does anyone want information on what else I do? I am very curious to hear what others think?

Hi mssunloved and welcome to mylot...I'm not a single mom but I do understand the frenzy around the holidays. I have a friend who used to put between $5 and $10 aside each week. I know it seems like a little bit but the little bit adds up. This way she wasn't stressed at the end of the year. I hope this helped you a bit.

I used to put money aside like that but things just happened and I needed the money for something or another. When I do the GPT sites I just let it bank up, and at the end of the year, I just cash it all in. It helps me a great deal.
