http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/story.html?id=1519587 Here is the story. Why isn't this woman fired? She failed to keep Arizona safe as governor and now she's telling us we have to watch out for people with religious bumper stickers and returning vets, people against abortion--they may be domestic terrorists!! Now she's blaming Canada for our worst national disaster--probably because she kept her own state's borders so porous. This woman infuriates me. I never voted for her for governor when I lived there and I wouldn't support her for dog catcher. What is wrong with this administration? Idiots and tax cheats as cabinet members!

Oh this woman is not off to a good start is she. Obama did not make a very good choice. If she keeps this up she will have offended just about everyone in the country by the end of month. How is this Canda's fault? It isn't. Our own intelligance agencies failed to realize what was going on til it happened. So I really do not see where our government has a right to point fingers at anyone.

Thanks for defending Canadians, I am one myself. We do have pretty tough restrictions to get across the border. I believe there are worse problems in other areas and she has alot of nerve blaming Canada. I don't really know much about what is all going on with the American government but I hear things and have read a bit on here and this claim is just bogus!

The United States was, itself, to blame for 9/11. We make it so easy for terrorist to attack us...

And it's even easier now. The southern border has really deteriorated, it's like swiss cheese. Get ready for the next big one..

I read the article you linked to above and I found this, which directly disputes your accusation that she's "blaming Canada" for 9/11: "In a statement Tuesday afternoon, Ms. Napolitano said: "I know that the Sept. 11th hijackers did not come through Canada to the United States." But she added that other terrorists have attempted to cross into the U.S. from Canada, citing Ahmed Ressam, the ‘Millennium Bomber' who was caught in 1999 when he entered the U.S. at Port Angeles, Wash." I also found this: Ms. Napolitano's predecessor at Homeland Security, Michael Chertoff, said in 2008 that "more than a dozen" suspected extremists had been caught trying to enter the U.S. from Canada." ...and this: Several prominent U.S. politicians -- including former House speaker Newt Gingrich and former U.S. senator Conrad Burns -- have in the past said the 9/11 attackers crossed into the U.S. from Canada. I myself have reservations about Napolitano, she does have a tendency to word things the wrong way, that much I'll say for sure, but I'm not sure how she measures up against the others who have held her position. My own former governor, Tom Ridge, was the original DHS Secretary and I never could quite figure out what made him qualified for that position. But, hey, he DID give us color-coding...lol! Annie

She apologized on Tuesday, sure, but that doesn't take back what she said and had to apologize for. I don't like her and I'm not surprised at this. I lived under her governorship and she is very corrupt. Canada at least tries to guard their borders, we are wide open. I wondered why Mr. Ridge was given the position, too. In fact, I can't see too many positions that have had qualified candidates in the previous administration and this current administration is just as puzzling.

It sounds to me like she is simply looking for a convenient scapegoat. It's obvious that she's grasping at straws! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija

When she was governor of Arizona while I lived there, she liked to play the blame game and never took responsibility for anything. Everything was someone else's fault, usually someone Republican!
