Hi, I have a couple of family members who have asked me to help them sell some old coins they have. I don't even know where in the world to start. Does anyone know of some good websites I could use just to look for information about the coins or maybe have an idea of how much the coins could be worth? One of the coins is more than 100 years old so I know it's gotta be worth a something. Has anybody had any experiences selling coins like these and where should I start first? Thanks in advance for your help:)

I would look locally at jewellery shops if they know of anywhere, don't take the coins with you.Take photo's.In our local paper they have a section with coin collectors, in antique shops might be another way to sell them. You need a specialist before you start telling anyone anything.Good luck suzzy.xx

Yep, I thought about antique shops. Sounds like a good avenue to try. You are right, it's important to find a specialist before selling anything like that. I would never want my family to be ripped off because we never knew the real value of the coins if they were really worth some money. Thanks so much for your help:)

No problem, no need to apologize. Hopefully you can also find some good advice here from others on how to sell your coins as well. Best wishes to you and thanks for stopping by my discussion:)
