Do you rather be rich but unhappy, or be a happy person but poor?
Personally, hmm... of course, I wish to have both happiness and wealth, be a happy rich person. But if I can't have both, I have to make a choice between them, I would think happiness is more important. I feel that life will be meaningless without happiness.

I would rather be happy rather than having plenty of wealth without any kind of happiness. Though minimim wealth is required to survive and one should have that, however, excess of wealth can just rob you off your pleasure and calmness and peace of mind.

Yes.I think being happy is more important than having all the money in the world. Most men seek for wealth, all men seek for happiness.Sometimes wealth and happiness lie not in one sack. It's strange. What's that for? Most men don't offer an accurate answer. The rich has a lot of worries, the poor has a lot of worries too.God is equal to everyone.Maybe you are rich, you are unhappy;Maybe you are poor, you have friends and loved ones.

I wish to have both. But if I must choose between the two, I would rather have happiness than wealth. Because wealth cannot always buy happiness. I believe that happiness can only be achieved if you are satisfied with all aspects of your life. What if you are wealthy but have no friends? You may still be unhappy. On the other hand, you can be poor but happy because you feel loved and cared for.

i'd rather be happy than rich...
Happiness is everything to me.....just a penny in my bank balance is enough if i've food, shelter and clothing :)
I don't demand cars and jet plane but just happiness... :)

i will definitely choose happiness over money... like you say, what is the point of having lots of money if you are not happy and can't enjoy your life??? i already realise that i come into this world with nothing and i will leave this world with nothing as well... so there is no point in trying to live my life just for the sake of money as i wouldn't be able to take it with me when i die... i might as well try to enjoy my life as much as i can as i only live once in this world and i wouldn't know what will happen to me in the next day... take care and have a nice day...

I thinnk you can be rich and happy, in that it depends on your definion of rich! What I am speaking of is not the amount of money you have, but the blessings you have. If you look at it that way, you are alot richer in that way than you think most of the time. Look at all the things we take for granted! True happiness cant be bought so I agree , happiness counts the most!

According to me, both rich and happy is important to us. I do not really like to choose between one of them. I will try to work hard and looking for some invesment that can make me rich. On the other hand, i will also take care my health and my social realtionship with friends. I am really want to have both of them. I have ever hear a statement like this "money is not everything, but everything need money, including health and entertaiment". Haha. I do not know wheter it is correct or wrong. But i pray that the best would be happens to all the peoples in the world. Hope all of us could be happy and out of financial problem.

Happiness and wealth is really difficult to choose, some people sell out their own wealth to his pursuit of the soul is only for goreous clothes, spacious housing...
I think the spirit of the richest people is the perfect combination of both. The spirit of the rich people will not feel how much the wealth of embarrassment.they can always be difficulties to find their way to relax.Mentally have been met are there any other material that they do care about.Such a person will not be carried away by desire, not because of the temptation to forget the original intention, they only want to do and treasure of the people, their lives filled with sunshine everyday.they are the world's richest people.

Well Happiness of course! If you have money but aren't happy - isn't that exactly what you were trying to achieve in the first place? By getting rich weren't you in fact trying to make yourself happier by material means?
So if you can't be happy and have money, you by fault HAVE to choose happiness because the only reason why people choose the money is for happiness - for themselves, for their family.
Yes, it'd be nice to tote the kids off to college, but if they're not happy in the process is it worth it?

it is much better to have both but among the two, i'll choose happiness. I think happiness is a choice. whether you are wealthy or not, it is up to you if you want to live a happy life or miserable one. you can find joy even in a very simple things you or others made. see the goodness and the beauty in every people you meet. i know that there are times when we experience difficulties and pain, but remember that all we have gone through is with a purpose.

I would pick happy every single time!
I'm just not impressed with money, power, position, or any of that stuff.. happiness alone would be the greatest thing in the world to have.

i'll surely be choosing happiness because i have lived a very happy life with my family even without all the riches in the world and i think it's a lot better to stay simple and have a simple lifestyle because in that way, your mind doesn't get too polluted of stuff that invites you to become evil. i love my parents because they have brought all of us up well even if we we're really struggling years ago. my parents taught us how important your family is because there's where you find true happiness - happiness that money can't buy.

From my view, everyone will like to be a rich and happy person. But at my side, only few people will happy with rich.I am a happy person but poor.I found so many interest things around my side. When I tell that to person who has wealth, she will look at me and said mercy:"oh,that is boring".I confused and cannot understand why they are not happy every day.
