have you ever witnessed any road accident? if so, had to get down to help the victim?
It has been noticed for some time that people were very much hesitant to help a victim of the road accident as they are then penalised with cases and proceedings in the court. but, recently heard that the government has promised that no such cases will be there on the helping hand and therefore, all can willfully get down to help an accident victim.
so, if such an accident happens in front of you, would you willfully help the victim's life in the name of mankind or move backward thinking this would be a headache for u in the future.. put up ur views..

I have no medical training, and would not be able to help, but I would definitely call the ambulance if I saw someone hurt.
I did see a very bad accident once. I was riding in the car and on the side of the road was a crushed bicylcle and a little boy (i think) was on the ground, the paramedics were working on him and he was all wrapped up in a headboard that they put on people when there are neck injuries. It was awful but we just drove on past and I said a little prayer, there was nothing I or anyone else could really do but let the medical people do their job.

kids hit by accident is a very terrible scene.. once while i was walking to my office, i saw a school boy (about 6 years) walking in front of me, about 10 meters ahead. a minivan came at high speed and passed me. the next moment i saw this little kid flung high in the air and then hit the ground. he lied there unconscioius by the time i ran to him. since his house was nearby, his parents and neighbours came very quickly and took him to hospital.

My god, that's terrible. Was the kid ok? It would seriously mess me up for a long time to see that. Kids hurt is the worst thing. I hope he was ok, and I hope you don't have too many nightmares or memories of that. What a terrible thing to see.

About four years ago, I walked to the office as usual in the morning, I saw a motobike fell on the ground fiercely because it wanted to keep away from bumping into a car on a crossroad. A girl/woman sat in the back of the motorbike twithced frequently, it seems that she was hurt severely.

yes, i have... a few times... but i never really go down and help because i see that they are already many people at the scene helping the victims... and i just don't want to make the place more over-crowded and limit the space for the police and paramedics to do their jobs... if there is nobody there yet helping, then i will definitely help... take care and have a nice day...

I have never witnessed a road accident, but I have been involved in a couple. One while I was driving and one while I was a passenger. Luckily, noone was hurt in either accident. If I did witness one I would try to help if I could.

hahaha, I can't drive, but yeah there have been times when the people I was driving with have stopped to help and whatnot.
but many times Ive BEEN the victim.
people came and helped us :)
it was coool. I mean, most of the time the crash accident was just no big deal, nobody ever got hurt on our side or anything, but I dont know about the other side. I was never old enough to know =P
when I start driving, I will for SURE help people.
Im one of those people who just reallly care about helping people and stuff.
Im like, environmentalist-hippie-peppy-person :)
I love people. ahhaa.
so helping anyone, even if I dont know them,, is just something that I do. its just one of my main concerns in life.
so yes, Ima fo sho help these people who need me =D
love&peace ! =)

I've witnessed a few accidents over the past year or two. The one I'm going to talk about was pretty minor though. This happened last year I think and it happened at the local Sonic. I was with my mother at the time and we were waiting for our order to come. As we waited, there was a car waiting to leave the parking lot or whatever (there was another car in front of them). Well, as they waited a car that had been parked began pulling out and for some reason didn't see the other car. The person ended up backing into the car and dented the bumper of the other.

so, there wasnt any personal injury.. but such bumps can even cause neck prolapse.

I have seen some road accidents. I haven't tried to go out and help. The only thing that I have done to help is to call the nearest emergency number. There are already some people when I witnessed the accident and they already helped the poor victim.
In some scenarios in which I wish wouldn't happen, I will certainly do my share to save someone who is in need.

I was actually in a bad accident two years ago when I was sixteen. I was crossing the road to get to sonic and I live in a college environment so everyone drives crazily. Well anyways I got hit by a suburban but nobody really would get near me. They just left me laying there half conscious and sort of stared and gasped but they did call 911. But the most useful thing I wanted someone to do was to come stay by me because I was in freaked out, panicked, and in pain. So just staying by the person until medics get there can be the biggest help, but sometimes its hard to really help them because there is only so much you can do besides comfort them. Also I would most definitley help any individual who is hurt and needs help, but I would suggest for others to be careful with trying to help someone because if the person has injury to their spine, moving them can just increase the extent of the damage, which is probably why some people get penalised in court. From what I know, only medics or certain people who hold nursing license can really help someone who has been in an accident. The only thing anyone else can do is just call 911 and comfort the victim until medics arrive.

yes thats true. just comforting and even talking to not let them get unconscious would also do good to the victim.
