specially on heavy days yes i do wear black. scared to get some stain then wearing light colored pants or skirt on a heavy period. sometimes we can not control the flow and we cannot change at once specially if we are commuting. so mostly i wear balck pants or skirt on heavy days. i have a friend who uses disposable diapers for baby during her heavy periods.

hi roni! miss you and missed being in mylot. :) my period is sometimes heavy but not heavy enough to use a disposable diaper, not even the all-nights thing which is thicker and longer. :) i also don't want to get stains on my pants, skirts or shorts when i go out but when i had planned on wearing something for the day, whatever color that is... then period or no period i'd wear it. even if it's white or light colored. i'll just take extra care not to get any stains on it. ;)

I don’t wear black but yes I do wear dark colour and heavily printed clothes so that even if there is some stain it does not show. It was really problematic during our school days as we had white uniform…so many girls’ schools have white skirts which is actually very stupid…the school authorities should understand the practical problems faced by teenage girls (esp. many of them having their periods for the first time) and choose the colour of skirts accordingly.

during my school days too i wear all whgite uniform so in heavy days i bring a jacket along that i can tie on my waist in case i get stained. the scary part if i get my menstration at the middle of the day and a not scheduled one. that is really frigthening. thanks for the response

I don't have a lot of black pants... but i do wear a long shirt or blouse when i have my period... that way if i ever have an accident... i can still hide it through my shirt or blouse... This is the first time i read about wearing disposable diapers because of heavy days... i usually just use those that are super absobent... and that works well for me...

my friend uses disposable diapers if we need to travel far and sitting down for a few hours makes her stain. so for that reason she wears kids diapers. she also wears kids diapers during night. but if we are just going out she wears the super absorbent for she can go to the wash room to check it. thanks for the response and sorry for my late comment

This is an interesting question. I used to wear black pants at that special time when I was in the school. As we couldn't go to the toilet anytime we liked. The break time was so short and it was so crowded. The black pants could at least make me feel much more comfortable. Today I don't have to wear in black during my period. But usually I will wear dark color trousers and try to avoid the white trousers. I love China

i agree with that we should avoid wearing white trausers or pants or skirt during periods to avoid easy to see stains. it is safer to wear something dark or i always have a jacket at hand so i can tie it around my waist if ever i get stained. thanks a lot for the response

I'm almost always wearing black slacks or jeans. I just figure since AF is shifting around that I'd rather be safe than sorry unless I just finished up then I'll wear some kakis or the alike. This is one reason why I wouldn't go into the medical field or work @ Target... ya never know if it's going to be too heavy & go thru a pad or tampon faster than you anticipated. And sometimes it feels worse than it is but then you are all worried about it until you can check in a restroom at break time.

yes it easy to move when you are wearing something dark rather than something light. worried that you might have stains without you knowing in. very uneasy and stressful lol. i agree that we really never know if it is heavy or not so might as well carry a few extra pads or tampons. though i never tried tampons before. did you? thanks for the response and sorry for my late comment

I definitely try to wear dark pants when I've just started my period. The first couple days tend to be my heaviest. Although, since I don't have any dark shorts that fit me right now, I just have to cross my fingers that if there comes to be any marking, it doesn't show. So far, nothing has happened.

well, most of my pants are black...but i worry about the top sometimes. i favor tunic long shirts. there was a time when i used to take centrum and my period would require more than diapers. i mean, even with the diapers i still have to change like every two hours. now, i just rely on vitamins as additives in my orange juice and not take a regular vitamin pill as i don't want to get this kind of period again.

During my monthly visit or menstruation, I just wear any pants not necessarily black as long as it is not tight. If I don't have a choice but to wear tight jeans, I just wear long blouse or shirt. I don't worry for stain because it seldom happen to me. My monthly period is just enough. I haven't experience heavy period yet.

I prefer wearing black or dark colored pants during my period. I don't want to have to worry about having an accident. Plus I have saved my pants that are one size larger to wear at that time becaues I tend to get bloated. So this way I am more comfortable.
