Well, looks like we have come full circle...we started this conversation complaining about out LOL(laughing out loud), then went to just the simple SOW(smile out wide) to just a CAL(chuckle a little) to GE2E(grinning ear to ear) and now all this chatting has lead us back to the hehe(LOL) belly whopping, foot stomping fun! I guess we are doomed to always end up LOL for the entire time we spending chatting with friends...thanks for your responses MyLotters, it's been fun! & yes, I am LOL from all the cute responses..I especially like the GE2E!Thanks for making me laugh today!

Nothing much to smile about on mylot.
You smile at someone smart.
But you laugh out loud at the ridiculous.

When something is overused it does get trite. I do not know that I will go with SOW, I might say something like Giggling On the Inside. (GOI). I do not know that I would use Sow since it is a mature female pig.

I seldom use *LOL* simply because I dont actually LAUGH out loud! Sometimes someone online can make me smile yes, but it takes a lot to make me laugh. And when someone types that (LOL) I am always wondering.. are they really laughing or just using it as a filler?

It needs more time for socialization of those new acronyms you guys just created. Well, LOL has been used for than ten years. At the beginning of internet chatting era, people started using LOL to representing their laughing emotion. If you dislike it, it's no problem. But it has been in internet users mind for a long time. Have a nice weekend and happymylotting.

I think your just an over thinking or an over exaggerator.
To be honest your asking a question like was the chicken before the egg or after.
I believe that they use to say laughing out loud instead of lol first. I don't think someone rolled a dice and when it landed on L then O then L again they decided to make it and acronym. Your SOW sounds cool and I would like to ask you the same question you avoid to answer.
Did you think of Smile out wide first? or did you think of SOW then decide to fill what acronym to it???
God bless.

I see SOW, and I think PIG. I'll stick to LOL, or a simple smiley.

I nonly laugh out loud if I find something very, very, funny. I do smile broadly at things I find amusing. Big Broad Smile, or BBS will do me.

how about using LMBFBO (laughing my big fat butt off) or LOLPMP for laughing out loud, peeing my pants. I've seen some good ones. The biggest fun is trying to figure out what they mean if you've never seen the acronym before!

I never get tired of lol or lmao, I think it's because I don't see those used often. What do you think about SRN (smiling right now) or LRN (laughing right now)?
