My grandma made jam. I loved it and long after she dies, I decided to give it a try from what I remembered. It turned out beautiful and more to the taste of children than orange jams. It´s unexpensive and fairly easy to make with the new gadgets we have in our kitchens.
Do you have a jam recipe that has been in your family for genarations?

i probably do. i have a box of my grandmother's recipes. i made her strawberry freezer jam not too long before she passed away. she was in the hospital when strawberries came in around here, she fretted so because she wasn't going to be able to make her some i told her i would make it for her. she was very pleased, i think. i have never made or heard of orange & carrot jam till just now. one of mt faves that i make is pear preserves. have u ever eaten them?

my friend has a pear tree in her yard that makes wonderful pear reserves. the catch to making them is the cooking. it's just pears, sugar, some lemon juice. do you have pear trees around youe home? have a great sunday.

hi my dear friend, i love baking and cooking, but i have not made jams too much in my life. i have made a jam many times of a local fruit here. it is very good for acidity and if one feels too acidic , just a spoon ful of it will give wonderful results. i have started making that just becasue after marriage i changed my living place, i got shifted from a totally dry place to humid one. i developed acidity and i didnt wanna take any medicine for that. i wanted something home remedy like. so my mom told me to make this and eat every time. since then i make just onething and that is jam and jelly both of that fruit. i donno the name myself but the color of it comes to be like transparenr darkbrown. it is very tasty.

Orange and carrot jam sounds wonderful. I bet it works good as a glaze for roasting meats and poultry too. It might even work in the meatball sauce, for sweet and spicy meatballs. Have you tried the meatballs yet? Can you send me a message with the recipe for this jam in it? Would love ya forever!
