mylot's future policy on posting new discussion

a member of mylot who responded on one of my posted discussion shared on how he looks for interesting subjects. so i tried his practice, that leads me to posting this new discussion. I have tried typing the word 'astrology' in the search box of mylot's page and i was surprised that there are a lot of subjects with the same word. take for example the subject : 'do you believe in astrology'. the first 4 pages generated six (6) discussions with the same topic/subject. with this, would you care to first search for the topics before making or posting a new discussion?
Are you in favor that in the near future mylot should approved first the posting of new discussions? this would mean that the new discussion we make will be only made available for public viewing/posting once approved by mylot admin to avoid the recurring of topics/subjects. OR
What if before you can post a new discussion you should first submit the subject and then automatically mylot can send you a confirmation message "congratulations!you have created an original topic.your new discussion is accepted"

I don't think there is anything wrong with the current system. You post, you get rewarded.
Contravene and get points/rewards taken from you.
Many people forget mylot is for discussing, getting peoples opinions & not just a money monster.
Play by the rules, get rewarded and enjoy along the way

It has been a good while since I started a discussion. I mainly just respond to discussions. For now this suits me just fine, because I wouldn't have time to keep up with the new discussion and respond back to anyone who had responded to my discussion. SO I just try to respond to a few discussions a day as I have time to do so.

I don't see any problem with the existing system, it seems to work reasonably well.
Sometimes you get subjects and topics repeated and if there is a reasonable period of time between those discussions and the question is not exactly word for word, then I see no problem.
What annoys me, is if the same question gets asked within 24 hours and is virtually word for word the same. You only have to look back at when the Tasks were introduced and then nearly everybody and their dog got on the bandwagon and the place was awash with every discussion going about tasks.
But in general, I wouldn't change it at the moment.

'part of our earnings will be unexpectedly lost if we don't pay attention to the topics we are responding.' That is oh so true and if only more Lotters were aware of it then more would be reaching their own payout sooner!

same with you, i don't see any problem with mylot's existing system: if you can see, the discussion i started is something futuristic. i am just wondering, since payout here is slow (two months, if you are participating for 4 hrs/day, i think)part of our earnings will be unexpectedly lost if we don't pay attention to the topics we are responding.

As you can see from what everyone has been saying Mylot works just fine the way it is currently set up. There is an old saying that applies, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." I apply that to most things in life. Also, when we joined here we were told how it works and what the rules are, so if we have a problem with them we should not have joined.
One thing I have noticed in this discussion that you have started is that you are not discussing. So far all the discussion is going on among those of us who have responded to your topic. To make it a true discussion you need to get involved, respond to what we have to say. Good or bad, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Sometimes things don't always come out the way we thought them when we write it down. However I have to commend you that you didn't start a discussion with the 'which would you pick this or that' topic. This at least shows that you think and have a good grasp of how to start a discussion. Welcome to the lot, and I will be looking for more of your discussions.

hello savak. please accept my apology of not responding the soonest.. about the posted discussion: well if you can see, the topic is futuristic, i am just thinking of possibilities possible problems that might arise in claiming our earnings. i think i will be rephrasing my question so that everyone can relate to what i am trying to convey..thank you for the response.

We are not supposed to ask personal info here in discussions. It is a question that is best answered in a private message BUT please be aware that what one user is earning would not be the same amount as another. MyLot pays us for quality not a set amount for each post so there can be no comparison bewtween users. You will find what earns best for you once you have been posting a bit longer. Good luck!

Yes this is definitely a problem. What happened is that people do not bother to search for the existing discussion. I think it is being difficult to come up with new discussion as number of users are increasing rapidly. I would also like to draw your attention to this that you might sometimes fins the topic same but the content may be different. For example suppose you see two post with the same title that "I got payment today" by two different user, it may be the case that they have got payment from two different sites. Then it is relevant to create two discussions.

I think that would create too much work for mylot and just because someone else created a similar discussion doesn't mean we shouldn't be allowed to post our own. not every discussion gets responses and we may be looking for different opinions since lots of people join on a daily basis this would not give them the chance to give their opinions.

I agree with you. There are a lot of discussions that have the same subject or topic. Its kind of boring if its going to be like that. I hope myLot can make a way how to innovate ways so that there will be no repeated discussions here. I like to answer new and different discussions from different interests.

I see nothing wrong with the way that mylot is now and no reason to fix it if it's not broken. I like the fact that more than one person starts a discussion on certain subjects as I find it to be very enlighting that some people answer one and not the other. I like this site and I really don't want them to change things now.

I like the system the way it is. I really enjoy MyLot, and I do not do it for the money. I do it because I like participating in the discussions, and reading other people's comments. I just pass on any topics that I am not interested in, or if it seems to be a recurring subject (in my opinion). If MyLot ever decided to approve discussions first, I could deal with it, but I just like it the way it is now.

I think that opinions vary from time to time, a whole lot of factors could accompany it, new experiences, latest trends, etc. So, for me , I don't think it's a wise decision, I mean it's totally even hard to think of a topic and how on earth could we possibly think of any if they have to restrict one if it's already available.
People don't use the search option much anyway, it's kinda tiresome scrolling on and much more the old stuffs and ideas. I like thinking that I'm still talking up to date, I mean I just reply to latest discussions. That is just totally boring idea, to think we're not really professional here and don't get to paid that big time. So I think Mylot is great just the way it is now. ^^

i am just a new member of mylot and have gotten to like it the first day i joined here. i see nothing wrong in posting the same discussion... i did post a discussion and just found out somebody else posted the same thing although not exactly the same. and responses are different, as i went there and read her discussions and responses, and even responded there, went back to mine and see different response.
so i see nothing wrong with it. what would bother me though if the discussions are the same word for word... i mean that would really be like HUH!??? i saw one last night and from the same user!!?? i dont know if it was intentional or not, but the images posted with his discussions are different images, so meaning he started 2 the same discussions... wth?
checking, approving before a new discussion can be posted looks like a hard work for mylot admins, there are so many users here, and how many discussions are being posted every hour? that's definitely too time consuming...
my opinion - its ok now the way it is =)
