Overall, I think I am a very healthy eater. Recently, my son had a terrible accident and I was staying at the hospital with him. It was terrible trying to find healthy food at the hospital. I eat lots of vegetables, but they all (even the ones considered vegan or vegetarian) were smothered in butter or contained bacon! I struggled, finally found some small cans of veggies and beans that I could heat in the microwave. Wouldn't want to do that long term as I don't eat much processed foods, but it helped me get through that tough spot! Have you had seasons where you struggled in this area? What did you do to get by?

When I'm at school there isn't always healthy options. You learn to get creative by making meal thats not too bad for you. Also I try to just exercise more, especially if I'm not able to eat the best foods.

Thanks for your response! What kinds of things do you take with you to school? That's been one of the problems is not having access to refridgerators and stoves and such. I also did start running and will be in my first 5 K race in June! That seems to help some too! Thanks for the input!
