One of our favorite bands from the 80's is going to be playing in concert near by. We would love to see them, but they arfe charging $200 for tickets which is rediculas. Would you pay $200 per person to see a band you really like?

Yes, I would if I have the money. But how far will you go to see your favorite band? I love music both jazz & classical. When I have conditioned my mind to see a good concert, I'll go. I will have to settle for pasta and sallad next two months! You have to make priorities in life sometimes. You add one expense and you have to subtract other expenses to be able to afford what you want.

That is a valid point. If you can tweak the budget, and it is something you really enjoy, go for it, I guess.

It depends on the band, who is it?

Quite frankly, it'd have to be John Lennon, Elvis, Robert Johnson and JS Bach as the lineup before I'd fork out that kind of money.

Not a fan, so anything more than $2.00 dollars is too much for me.

well I don't buy concert tickets so I wouldn't pay anything for them but if I did, I would be buying the cheap end because I have no money but If I had money and I liked concerts yes I would.

What band are you wanting to see? I would DEFINITELY pay that much to see a band that I love. In fact, I did pay that much to see Kenny Chesney when he came to town. I wasn't able to get tickets off of Ticketmaster, so I had to buy them over Ebay. I really, really wanted to go and my husband was fine with it, so I went for it! I didn't regret it. It was an awesome concert and I will have memories of it forever!

Hi, I would pay a sum of $200 if I have the extra money. I am someone who likes to attend concert and its a rare chance to be able to attend the concert of a favorite band. If I were to go for a concert, I would go for the front seating that will inevitably cost more.

It just depends on which situation you're in and how much money you have. I remember when I fell in love, I spent too much money to buy pop concert. Although I had no much money at that time, but I'd like to enjoy our favorite music with my girlfriend. But now, we've been married and we have many other things to do. So that conduct is not suitble to us more.

No, but I am not much of a concert goer anyway. I would be inclined to try to catch it televised somehow. I can think of a lot of other ways to spend $200, like for airplane tickets to see my daughter.

NO, I wouldn't pay that much money. You are helping their lavish lifestyle while there are millions of people in the world that are living in abject poverty. I would also be thinking of the homeless people too...and with our current world wide economic crisis I would be looking at the teachers that have been laid off, workers who have worked for a company for most of their lives losing their jobs...and I wouldn't in all good consciousness pay that much money to see ANY group. I would rather donate the money to a place that feeds the hungry. I won't even spend the $40 to $75 to see a group at the county fair. I would rather sit outside the arena and listen to the music than fork over that kind of money. I look at it in the respects of what makes anyone worth the hundreds of thousands of dollars they make at a concert? I am watching GM getting bailed out after they gave the CEO a huge bonus...what makes that man worth that much money in the first place? The bonus he was given would have kept 50,000 teachers in their jobs. I might go if the tickets were down around $25 to $50 if it was a group that I really really liked. But $200 is WAY too much for a ticket! People need to get real about what's important, and these people include celebrities!

I don't think I would - maybe I'm stingy, but I can't see myself footing out $200 for a concert ticket. Moreover I hate crowds and queues, which are definitely there in concerts. Most probably I would end up watching the performance on DVDs (if any).

I guess it would depend on how much money I had. I payed $150 per person for Rush tickets. That was the most I ever spend on a concert.

Yes and no. That is an insane amount for a ticket, but they seem to always charge that much. For me to even consider paying that much for a ticket it would have to be a good seat. If it were a nose bleed seat I couldn't imagine paying that much. Concerts have big screens now showing what is going on stage for people way in the back, but I don't care. If I wanted to watch it on a screen I would rent the concert DVD. So, I personally wouldn't spent that much for seats that only benefit a view on the big screens. Plus, it would have to be someone or some band that I really, really like. If you decide to go I hope you have fun! :o)

I would have to love them... but if I had the money I would probably pay for it. You see, it's not all that ridicules for them to charge that much. Organizing concerts is expensive, and artists these days are losing money because of pirated music. Raising concert ticket prices ensures that they are still able to eat.
