I was young
I rebeled
My causes were the ideals
of my peers
I fought
wasting my talents
Wasting my words
On ears that would not hear
Now I see another's eyes
Glowing with these same causes
I see yesterday's tomorrows
in the eyes of my daughter

Yes, the poem is one of mine and it was published and won an award from a local writer's group.
My youth was in the rebelling 60's and when my daughter was three and wouldn't listen to anyone, I realized that rebellion is part of life and not part of a generation.
