How to feed my dogs?

My dad always tell me one time per day is enough. but my doggy eat 3 times a day, and quite much each time. My doggy is a small-sized, out of imagine he has such a big belly!

They usually tell you about twice a day but depending on the type of dog the activity level and what ever else you do I would talk to your vet which would know the best level of nutrition for you. Good luck and have a nice day.

For Adult dogs most of the time this is enough. I give mine just a very small amount in the morning, dry food, and if she doesn't eat this I add it to her evening meal which is her meal of the day. That way if she happens to be hungry in the morning she gets a little and she doesn't gain to much weight.

Each dog is different but my husband and I recommend that your feed them half their daily allowance in the morning when you get up and then feed them the other half about the same time as you would typically eat dinner (6:00 p.m or so). That allows them the time to digest the food and go to the bathroom before bedtime. We also give our animals treats about 8:30 each night.

I am not exactly sure what the best answer is but once a day definetly isnt the right one I think. My dog just eats whenever he wants to. He always has a bowl of food down and just casually eats it when he wants to. I have quite a few friends whose dogs just eat nonstop if there is food left down. I dont know why some dogs do this and some dont. I just fill up his bowl whenever I see it empty. He probably goes up to his food like 5 times a day but eats a few bites then leaves.

How many times a day depends on how old your dog is. When they are younger they need to be fed quite a bit more cuz they're so busy growing and being playful they need more fuel because they are burning so much more energy. Usually the food that you buy has a chart on the back and it will tell you exactly how much to feed them. You don't want to overfeed them cuz it can make them sick and cause health problems later on in life. As they get older they'll get used to not eating as often, but they will be eating more. I feed my dogs right now about 2-3 times a day and i feed them the amount that is recommended on the back of the Beneful bag and they sometimes dont even eat it all. But that is probably cuz they just want to play! Hope this helps!
