Everywhere are a lot of coruption cases, when police is not so correct, but are places where police is more active, and places where police is more lazzy and corupted, and don t make everything to protect innocent peoples.
Do you think that you can trust in police from your country?
Or you have doubt in call police if you need help?
I saw to tv a lot of cases when police really help criminals, and this make me think to this discussion.
Do you know some problems in your country too?

in my town, i very trust the police because they are humane. they are kind and do not look like scary ones. however in the city, i do not trust police because they are sometimes the head of the crimes. they use innocents to corrupt and make a crime.

I think that corruption is a phenomenon that is present in every country in the world. But that doesn't make me have doubts about the police. I trust them and I have no doubts that they'll do something. If I need them I usually call them if the problem couldn't be solved without their assistance. I remember a problem of this kind, several months ago a guy was arrested because he have beaten some guys that stole his car. The victim was arrested but the guys that stole his car , gave a statement and were released because they said that they didn't know who that car was.

in my country there is a saying "the police and the criminal is a family" .police just serve for the money and power ,sarcastically them call themselves "people plice" meaning to just work for people.

The image of policemen in my country is already destroyed, at least to me, so I don't trust them that much. Rather than seeing them as ally of justice, I see them as arrogant people who like using force to settle matters. Really, the police image needs to have a makeover, otherwise, ordinary citizens like me won't feel safe anymore.

Well, thank you for starting this discussion. I'm quite interested in it. And my answer should be ... NO. I wouldn't say in my country, I just take my hometown for instance, most common people won't trust the police. We have a common idea that the police is the helper of the criminals and the criminals is the helper of the police. I don't konw whether you myLotter have seen plenty of news about the police in my country. Or maybe they are already screened by SOME PARTY. The police was once designated so corruption shows it's power, they can just buy the policeman positions through business under the table; but now we all have the opportunity to take exams for various positions of civil servants, the fair exams, shooooooooooooooot, and fork that, it's just all nonsense, seems like we're all fair but actually it's just an examination of corruption of connections, relations, etc. And this is why I cannot find a job in my hometown. It's just so common and nobody dare to say no. With all the sophisticated minds of the LEADERS, exchanging of money and power behind, corruption does have a wonderful condition to live in and grow. Trust has been a main topic in my country and it's falls down with accelerated speed. I just don't konw why and all I can make sure is that, trust is a problem. Hope we make a turn.

In our country Philippines, I dont trust too much on our police. Recently, they were in a middle of issues and controversies regarding on how the way they act on criminals. We cannot easily really trust someone these days.

How yo're going to trust a force that is always seen after the drama on stage? Police no matter where ever on this earth is, considered a little bit late. It become for public to cry over spilt milk. Rare are the cases when they are killed in cross firing or like this.

i think that the police here in my country are not trustworthy..for me
sometimes they can also be corrupt..you know..many cops are scattered in the roads halting motorists and asking them some money or else they will confiscate their licenses..but some are true to their service..i have to admit..some cops are honest and polite..ü cheers for honest cops!!ü

I don't trust the police, in my country or any country. Of course, we have oversite committees, public inquiry, and all sorts of governmental safeguards... but I don't trust my government, or any government... people who are in power tend to do anything to keep power - and i've met some whose want/desire of power has no ends...
our police are mostly active in only traffic situations, only called if the citizens involved can't handle the situation themselves...

I totally trust my the police in my country. And I don´t think they are lazy either. They only crime I have been involed in is that i got my bike stolen a few years ago. I reported it stolen (not thinking that I would get it back) but 2 weeks later they called me and I just had to ID myself and the bike and do a little paperwork and I could ride my bike home that day (Best bikeride I ever took :P).
My friend in another city got his car stolen and he got it back in a few days so I do think that they do a good job here.
