Hello mylotters,
I always think to have a tattoo on the body will be so cool. I don't have one with my yet. but i think the tattoo are so beautiful, it's a art! I have some friends like to put the dragon and tiger on their back or chest. If i can ever have a tattoo, i will have it on the surface of my finger, the middle finger. Maybe a rose, that will be so cool! What about you? If you already have a tattoo, please share what is it? If you don't, please let us know what would you like it to be?

I've always wanted something small that I could add onto. Blue-green diamond shaped scales, on my right shoulder blade, and they'd have great significance to me, too.
Lately I've been thinking about a small winged and halo'd heart (one of my ex's favorite kind of drawings) and putting it on my right hand. A sortof remembrance of how much I've always loved his art. I think I may only want it if we remain apart, though.
I love tattoos, it's just that I haven't been able to afford getting one yet.

Because in my beliefs, current stuff...with such permanence, is like asking for that thing to be destroyed. The past is just as important as the present and the future, and just because it hurt, and still does occasionally doesn't mean I should avoid it. Acceptance of the bad and the good is a very healthy thing to do...and enables me to move forward, without issues, free.
All tattoos I'll ever get, will have significance and meaning for me. Most of it'll probably be remembrance.
of course if I get a tattoo that's centered around my ex, I won't want it to be exactly like one of his pieces of artwork, I'll put some changes on it to make it my own. Not his, but mine.
Whereas making a tattoo about a new lover's a bit presumptuous and asking to jinx it, imo.

Hi Xparanoiax,
Thanks for responding my discussions. I think if i were you, i won't want any of the tattoo that i am gonna to put on my body have any relationship with my ex. I mean why and what for? You are going to have a new lover and start a new relationship sooner or later according what you said above. Why don't you save that for your new one? After all, past is past.

I only have one tattoo, but I have plans for a second. My tattoos are unique in that I don't just pick something off of a wall in a tattoo studio. It has to mean something to me, and it has to be something no one else has. I got my first one on my honeymoon on a resort on the island of Moorea in French Polynesia. The guy who did it had never done that tattoo on anyone because no one ever chose that one. It is a very large tribal gecko eating a fly across the small of my back. Yeah, I know that it is considered a "tramp stamp" to have one there, but mine doesn't look like the traditional tattoo. I am a herpetologist, so I wanted it to be a reptile or amphibian. And I like the colorless tribal tattoos, so that was another reason I went with that one. And, "Moorea" means "yellow lizard" in Taihitian, so that is another reason I went with the gecko.
The gecko's name is Fred. I like Fred. :)
My next tattoo will be from a drawing I made several years ago of a cobra woven into a knotted design. It will also be black and I will put in on the top of my left foot.
I have considered other designs for the future. I may get a tattoo of something symbolizing the birth of any children I should be so lucky to have in the future.
My advice is to carefully consider what you want before you get it. You will be stuck with it forever, and if you don't like it, forever is a long time!

Hi Cobra1368.
Thanks for responding my discussion.
First of all, i should say, you are a dangerous people. lol... look at all those tattoos that you like, cobra is the most dangerous snake. I have a friend who has a snake as her pet, she has a small tattoo of the snake, but no cobra for sure.
Secondly, i sould say, you are special. You like unique things. That's very cool.
Finally, i agree that having a tattoo is a big thing, think before you leap!

Actually, the most dangerous snake is the inland taipan of Australia, but you are close. The king cobra, and other cobras, for that matter, are very dangerous as well.
Getting a tattoo is not dangerous at all, provided you go to a reputable place where they practice good hygiene. You'll find that it is becoming more and more commonplace to have a tattoo. I agree that it is a form of art, and I personally like body art.
I love a well-drawn, well-placed tattoo on anyone. There are some really beautiful ones out there. I don't know if mine qualifies as "beautiful," but it is definitely art, and I love it. :)

I've never had a tattoo... and I guess I'll never have one. But if ever I had to put one on, I would have it on the sole of my feet. Maybe I would get a rose. That's an unusual place for a tattoo isn't it? I like wearing sandals a lot. So if I had a tatto on the sole of my foot, the rose would show up everytime I make a step. That's a cute thing! Anyway, I don't want to get a tattoo. My brother has one, and he said it hurts, so no way am I getting one!

The sole of your foot?! OMG I don't want to imagine how much torture that would be! The one I got across my back didn't hurt much at all, but I have a very high tolerance for pain. But I have this thing with my feet - no one is allowed to TOUCH them but me. They are SO sensitive and ticklish! I have actually accidentally kicked my husband in the face for trying to tickle my feet! It is a reflex response. I have also kidney punched him until he let go of my feet.
Getting my next tattoo on the top of my foot will be painful enough, thank you. Just imagining getting one on such a sensitive part of my foot kills me! LOL

It's been a long time that I am thinking to do a tattoo on my body, but I feel that i'm not ready yet for it. I love to be special, and to make people look at me. That's why I want to do a big tattoo all over my back. i still haven't decided yet how the tattoo will look, but I have a friend that can draw me something. The next problem is that I don't have the money for it right now, because a big tattoo cost a lot, special when it's all over the back.

Hi Ilander,
Thanks for responding my discussions. You remind me the actor in Prison break, you know who i am talking about, Michael, that's right. In the season one, he got his whole body cover a tattoo of a map of that prison, that's incredible!

i have a tattoo on my inner lip and it basically says kiss me in a pretty font. and i have an anklet design tattooed on to my ankle on my left foot. im thinking of getting a star at the back of my neck and i want to get a heart on my hip bone. im not so keen on to big tattoos like tigers and dragons and all those cause i think it limits your employment status cause some boss's don't hire people with tattoos so i keep mine small and hidden. oh one thing i always do before i get the real tattoo is that i will get a temporary one done of the exact thing i want on my body to sort of test it out to see if i would like it so i can know for sure that it will look good. remember tattoos are permanent. think wisely before you get one. and with the risks of contracting all sorts of diseases make sure you don't get cheap on your tattoo. its better if you spend more for hygiene then to have to spend more on medical bills later. hope i helped. good luck for your tattoo. cheers mate.

I have two tattoo's- both smallish- one on my shoulder blade of a heart and vines I got in Hawaii when I went there with a friend on vacation-
The second is on my abdomen, and is of 3 flowers, each a different color. My two friends and I got it together to represent our friendship-
I like tattoo's- but I think they should represent something, or be meaningful to you somehow!
happy tattooing!

Hi Jenna44288,
Thanks for responding my discussion. So you got TWO tattoos! Wow...i envy you. But is it painful when you did that? I agree a tattoo should be meaningful or it will lost its beauty. I guess those flowers are beautiful.

I love my flowers because everytime I see them I think of the trip my friends and I had. My heart reminds me of my trip to Hawaii with a friend that I don't get to see very much anymore.
I'm not gonna lie- it was painful. It felt like being stung by a hundred bees at one time. Lucky for me, the tattoo's are smallish, so they only took 15 minutes or so to do. I alway thought I had a high tolerance for pain until I got tattoo's....
If the right time ever comes up, I would do it again though. :)

i'm not really keen in getting a tattoo for my body as i am scared and i just don't like it... but i know lots of people who love it and think of it as an art and i don't blame them... yes, it is beautiful and i like to look at it... but if you ask me to tattoo my body, i won't do it no matter how small the tattoo is... i'm scared of needles and i also have sensitive skin... i don't want to get skin infections just because of doing something that i don't really like... take care and have a nice day...

Hi Lingli,
Thanks for responding my discussion. I understand the reason you don't want a tattoo is because you are afraid of pain. I am afraid too, so i am just waitting for a biggest reason for me to have a one or i will stay the same.

I don't think I will ever have a tattoo for myself. Because I don't like the pain and I don't even think it's cool to have the tattoo. But if I have to have a tattoo for myself, I will have it on my back neck and it should be a very small tattoo so that nobody will notice it:)

I want to have a permanent tattoo on my body. However, my parents and my boyfriend disagree. They don't think it is an art. They said that aside from it is painful, there are some circumstances that will make me disqualify because of it. So, if given the chance to have my body tattooed I love to have a fish permanently tattooed at the back of my neck.

Im always planning to have my tattoo but it will always stick to a plan. Tattoo for me is an art. If I will have my tattoo it will be a chinese character in my neck. Its cool right? or a tribal design in my hand. If you plan to have a tattoo, I suggest that you think of it well because once its done its difficult for you to erase the mark. Also, dont get a tattoo in a non-certified tattoo artist. It might ruin your "art".

Hi Rsanders,
Thanks for responding my discussion. And thank you for your good advice of finding a certified tattoo artist. If you want to have a chinese character, better ask a chinese friend what does that mean first before you putting in on your body. You can always come to me if you need any help!

Hi Mymhie5,
Thanks for responding my discussion. I don't understand what those company aren't hire the people who have tattoos? Does tattoo means bad? No one can dare to say that, but why are they doing that then? I think a small tattoo is okay as long as they don't see it. But i do know that if you have a tattoo on your body, you can not be a soldier.

I like the tribal tattoos (one or two not all over the body)on other people but these are so unoriginal. I´m thinking of getting barcode tattoo on sholder or bicep (my first tattoo). I know they are not totally original but nobody I know has one.

Hi Awan120786,
Thanks for responding of my discussion. It's Okay that you don't like Tattoo. When i was little girl, i was so scare of those adult who have tattoos on their body, i think they are bad people. Now, when i look at people who have tattoos, i don't feel the same way as before, i think that's because our mind changes.
