Discriminate against people with tattoo

Long ago in my country, having a tattoo is unconventional. In fact, when you have one, people think you are a convict or a drug addict. Women who have tattoos are viewed as very open women, you know. Nowadays, getting a tattoo is a fashion. But still, there are some people who are discriminated against for having tattoos. Some jobs require you to be tattoo-free. What do you think of this? Do you have a tattoo?

I think that tattoos are unnecessary. Think they are pointless and I would never get one. I don't think MY body is a place to make art. Having said that... I do not have prejudice with people that have tattoo. Just because they own one doesn't mean that they doesn't have great personality... Or they are bad people... I hate prejudice! Btw There are few tattoos that I think it's gorgeous *--*.

Yes, I do have a tattoo. And, in my opinion, having a tattoo is a form of expression, but I know that not everyone shares my opinion about tattoos. I think that my parents are two of these people. I think that it's okay to have tattoos. There's nothing wrong with it.

I do not have prejudice with people that have tattoo. For me this is so relevant. What really counts is how the person is. However, I'd never do a tattoo. I think that doing it is like ruin the body... And I fear that I regret it later. Because everybody knows that this is forever! About the jobs... It's definetly prejudice.

I don't have any tattoo but my mother, father and brother have one.I think it's kind of cool but some companies are really very particular with this kind of thing even if it is a fad already.Maybe they should be more open minded and try to see the beauty of tattoo.

as modern as the times may be, it's sad that people still have the tendency to judge other people by how they look and not by their abilities/personality. today, getting a tattoo is a fashion, it's good that it has been receiving more favor than before but i still don't get it that other people discriminate those who have tattoos. it must be that they don't know anything about tattooing and the art itself which makes them look away from it. they may not understand why people do it but it is not a reason to discriminate. i have a tattoo and i would not hesitate to have more. i'd like to prove to those people that even if someone has lots of tattoos, that person can function as well as them or they can be as good as them. even better.

i don't have a tattoo as i am too scared to get it and i don't really like it... but i didn't discriminate against people with tattoo too... i think it is really people's choice and up to them whether they want to have a tattoo or not... i don't think people should be discriminate just for having a tattoo... take care and have a nice day...

Well I guess things are getting liberal nowadays. I think no one should judge a person's character based on tattoos on his body. It is their personla choice to get one on their body. When one have doesn't mean that they are bad or anything its just their way to express themselves.

I have a tattoo and I would like to get another in the future symbolic of my children. I don't feel that tattoos should be discriminated agaisnt because many cultures have their way of expressing themselves. Tattoos I think have lost their meaning and are more so for fashion but at one time they were meaningful to certain cultures symbolizing their tribes or accomplishments.

i agree with you. but it think young people nowadays look at tattoos as fashion and art. Its unfortunate that institutions are still governed by old people with old views. probably 20 more years and everyone will have a tattoo of some sort

First of all i think it is stuiped because tattoos is a form of art. They shouldn't put aside the people that have tattoos because they are people too. I dont have a tattoo but i am going to do one and i would never even consider going to a place where they dont except tattoos.

I don't have tattoo, and from my opinion, tattoo is not useful at all. If i had it, when i am boring with that, and nothing can i do. If i laser that, it will make a bad mark in my body forever. Better we make temporary tattoo, you not loose the "art" and you not ruin your body. Beside, from the health, so many diseases can infect us, HIV, hepatitis, skin cancer, etc. I will never use it.

i've only got one tattoo, but i've never been discriminated against because of it. in fact most of my friends have tattoos and no one that i know of has either lost a job or not been able to get one because of it. most of my bosses even have them. maybe it's just being in america where the corporations have just decided to get used to the idea that people are going to have ink on their skin, i don't know i just know i've never seen any discrimination based on tattoos.

I see tattoo as expressing someone thru art.I wouldn't mind getting a tattoo.I would like one on my lower left leg-the yin and yang symbol.I will get this to cover a round scar.I also like one in my lower back-the symbol of Libra.it is my star sign.

I've noticed that even minimum wage jobs at fast food places are wanting people to be tattoo free. I think that it's bunk.. but I made sure that all but one of mine are covered by clothes at all times...

I find good tats to be beautiful art work, I know thats kind of odd for people from my area of the world(farming co of W NY.) ,However; I don't like tats that are tasteless or just too much. I am 60 and saving up for my first. $ priorities has been the reason I havn't until now. It's going to be a gypsywoman had with long hair, a scarf, and Gypsywoman under the head.
