well I am not an internet addict as yet! All this time the office was the only place I had net so it was about 8hrs daily but now from today I have got net at home so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed...I dont want to become a net addict but mylot is an addiction alright. So from now on I can access mylot at home too, so in all probability I am in danger of becoming a net addict
Let's see if I do become one, my son's my greatest rival for the computer but if I do become an addict,I'll ask for tips here on how to get over!

I was addicted to the Internet awhile back. The real problem was that I was really depressed and the Internet was an easy escape. I spent hours each day, would let it mess up my sleep schedule, would eat at odd times, and had very little social interaction. I also stopped going to work and school...however this was mostly due to the depression.
I ended up meeting my best friend online and he talked me through a lot of it. We met in real life, fell in love, and now have been married almost four years. I do spend a lot of time online during the week...but this is because i do a lot of work on the Internet. I am on there about six hours a day, on and off (we have a 2 1/2 year old son that interrupts a lot)...I don't normally get on much during the weekend while we do family stuff.

Oh yes internet addiction can be so bad......I had got so hooked to it in between that I used to sleep like in the wee hours of night......but then that was just temporary as I had my vacations going on......but the hangover was there for few days but it gradually subsided.....as after coming from my college I used to get so tired that I was not able to use the internet even though I wished to........well I think you should divert your mind to somethings like sports, reading books and some other things......because internet is such a thing the more you explore the more you get addicted to it.....specially if you are looking to make money online......you will just go crazy looking out for that perfect site........

I've been also an internet addict when i was in my high school days. Im much sink into chatting, i couldn't think clearly because all i wanna do was chatting. After school, i went at the cafe and rent for almost 5 hours. I always wanted spending my time in front of the computer to the extent that i couldn't eat my lunch and snacks. I used to get into using the net gor the reason that we need it to search information for homeworks, projects and activities. But my parents noticed something wrong in me and found out that i'm not the original person anymore. Eventually, they helped me get out of my mess.
The disadvantage of using the net make the people forget the traditional ways especially our culture. I has made everything comfortable yet it destroys the sense of diligence in our attitude.

Oh man, I don't even want to think about how many hours I spend on the internet. I first started using it for MSN and.... I don't want to say this... Neopets. Hey I was like 12 at the time (19 now). I've always been sort of an introvert, so while this 'internet addiction' may or may not contribute to me being anti social, it sure doesn't help much.

WEll, I have to admitt, I am an internet addict, but I wasn't before, it happened the first day my internet connection was established, which was a huge obstacle since I used to access the Internet with card-net, and that used to drain the hours quickly and finish before I knew it, but now since I have an unlimited supply of ineternet hours, I am becoming more and more of an addict everyday, although, there are many webistes that are interesting, I only spend time surfing untill something comes up, and I can always seem to say "no" to the internet, the internet is affecting my studies in a way, but I mostly realize what is happening after feeling the guilt of not studying for an assingment or anything of that matterand let go,

Yes it has started addicting me. I can say that I am internet addicted now.
After losing my job I was never in a mood to find any job after getting few bad offers. Then i planned to study MCA so appeared MCA entrance and still waiting for the admission procedure. Even planning to appear MCP exams this month or next month.
But during this period I was totally addicted to internet and again started to earn some money online but never got a good flow to earn enough.
Got to know more about scam sites initially but even got paid from few sites it was really good moment.
It has affected in some way to my life because I am not going out too much.

i'm addicted to internet now because it's still my school vacation and i've got nothing else to do and i really love surfing the net. and when i learn that you can earn money online, i tried it and now it takes me many hours in front of the PC. probably 7-8 hours. just mylotting and other online sites. it makes me sleep a bit late at night. and nothing changed with my eating habits. i'll reduce my PC time when i resume schooling again. happy earning!

An internet addict surfs the net all day. I think I'm not one, I only sit in front of my computer for 4-6 hours due to work, and posting here. I also check email and other sites to see if I have new messages. I also check if if something new I can download. I still have my life, though it's kinda boring.
If you suffer from internet addiction, try to decrease your dose little by little and try to do something that isn't related to the internet. There are lots of hobbies you can engage yourself into.
And it is a bigger problem if your computer breaks down ahaha!

i don't consider myself as an internet addict because i'm not really addicted to the internet... i can still control what i am doing and i won't lose my track of the time just because of the internet... i try to discipline myself and manage my time properly here... the keyword is self-control... when you can control yourself and know what you are doing, then you won't be addicted to the internet... take care and have a nice day...

My average time on internet in the month of April is almost 5 hours a day. which is the highest for me till now. I don't think I will be that active this month as I am planning to move out from my hometown which will mean that I will have absolutely no access to internet.
But till now I can say that I am an internet maniac. It is sad that I couldn't make enough money from internet so that I can use it as one of my job but still I enjoy working here.

There was a time where I thought that I was getting addicted to the internet, because I used to spend so many hours online. When I got my own internet connection I was kind of worried that it would get out of hand and that I would spend every waking hour online, but it didn't happen. Actually the opposite thing happened. I suddenly had the chance to go online whenever I wanted to instead of arguing with family member of my boyfriend, and I wouldn't say that I lost interest in the internet, because I still spend many hours online, but I spend less time than I used to.
I think it is a kind of psychological thing, because in the old days when I had the computer I used to think "I want to do this and this and this (and this)" , but now I think: "I can visit those sites later if I want" and the result is that I spend less time online.

Well.. it seems that many people use the internet each and everyday and it is no surpise that many people are addicts.. including me. It definitely affects my sleep hours and makes me miserable when I wake up feeling very tired. And to this day I am still surfing the web. =]
