Parents second child is more free spirited and naughty than their first child. The researchers of Pennsylvania State University,University of Howie and Purdue University studied the chronology of birth of children and found that this chronology plays an important role at the growth of child's personality. The researchers took interview of 364 boys and girls from 7 years to 19 years old and their parents and reached this conclusion. The scientists found that the first child of a family generally is gentle and obedient to parents. But the second child is far more free spirited and naughty. Recently the report of this research published in the Child Development Journal.

That's the way it worked out at our house. Our Son was second and he just did what he wanted. He was always in trouble and in house restriction. But He grew up to be a fine man and I'm glad we didn't shoot him during his childhood.

I have read up a lot on birth order and have found out that the rule is not always true. It is more general but there are plenty of exceptions, including my own two children. My son, the older, was more naughty and less obedient, where my daughter, two years younger was more compliant with rules.

Exception is always exception. The scientists told about the general tendency of birth rule.Your two children are reverse of general tendency.I have especial weakness about girl child.Because my only child is daughter.

There's no doubt about it. At least in my case. My first child was always able to play on her own and still does. My second child has to get into everything, and it doesn't matter what it is either. He'll trash the house faster than I can pick it up. I'm glad that he is inquisitive and is eager to learn new things all the time. While doing so he gets into his fair share of trouble. I wouldn't necessarily classify him as naughty, but he is certainly far less gentle than his older sister.
