How do you clean the floor? I usually vaccum it first, suck all the dust and dog hair, then I use the mop to mop it. I'm okay to use sweep but it is hard to pick up the trash completely. How about you?

Hello mermaidivy, I sweep the floor at least twice a day. I don't mop or vacuum the floor daily. I mop it like 3-4 times a week and I only vacuum the floor during the weekends. I don't have pet animal at home and because of that, I think the floor is not that dirty and sweeping it few times a day is more than enough.

Yea, if you don't have animals, it is better, at least no hair all the time.

I used to sweep everything into a pile, then vacuum up the pile, but my vacuum broke =( Now I just sweep. The job still gets done.

I sometimes use broom too but I need to wet a paper towel to pick up the rest of the dust that cannot be picked up completely.

Well, most of our place is carpeted, so that leaves no room really but to Vaccum it first. Then if it needs cleaning, we will take the Carpet cleaner and wash the carpet as well.

I still haven't had carpets yet so I don't have that problem yet.

I always vacuum. Sometimes I sweep the tile floors and then vacuum but usually we just vacuum all the floors. It's easier and it ensures that we do not leave any dirt behind and it's a lot cleaner than it used to be. I hate using brooms because hair and other things stick to them and it's hard to get the floors as clean.

yea... broom doesn't help picking up the hair very well, vaccum does a lot better job.

I have wood floors so I sweep first and then use my swifer wet jet to clean. It does a pretty good job. I buff them afterwards so they stay cleaner and have a nice shine; however, you don't want to be wearing just your socks because you'd be skating around! LOL!

We don't have any carpet in our new house so our vacuum hardley ever gets used. The odd time I may drag it up from the basement, but most of the time I sweep and then mop. Our dog sheds like crazy so I sweep and mop almost every day.

I usually vacuum, it is alot easier and I think I get alot more dirt that way. I also mop. once in a while I sweep but I really think it is a waste of time.

I usually try to vacuum all the floors and then as far as the kitchen and the bathroom I normally would clean it with cleaner and paper towels and crawl around the floor. Then I started using the Magic Erasers to clean it and those were GREAT! Now I vacuum it and then I use the Magic Eraser mop which is a really great invention but it leaves streaks and doesnt have as much pick up as the original sponges.

I have the magic eraser thing too but the refill is expensive and they run out quick.
